O'Neil Cruz Injury.

I'm very sad seeing this season-ending injury happen.
Some will say it's his fault the way he slid in, but this is so bad, being a person that wants to see the Pirates rise again, plus I want to see how good he can be.
I was wondering if this injury ruins a chance at a juiced Cruz card this season. That 99 from last year was a great card! -

Before buster posey that play would have ended alot different.

It was just unlucky. Good hard play by both players. It happens.

Its a good thing the catcher wasnt injured. That was a flat out drop kick. I dont think it was done in malice, but he was definitely going for the takeout. Sad to see, but play stupid games..... you know the rest.

He just reacted slowly, saw that it was going to be trouble and crashed. It's terrible to watch. He's clearly in distress as the benches empty and fight around him. Just a ugly situation. I don't think he was trying to hurt anyone, he just plays with a all out attitude.

Don't think the collision caused it, looks like it was other leg that had impact, but the trail leg which got injured, looks like his spike caught and bent his leg back, maybe causing collision cause he couldn't go through

I agree, it looked to me like his leg that got hurt got trapped under him in the play

It was poor sliding technique. Wasn’t much of a “collision” at all.

He also had no help, Santana should have moved from the on the deck position to home plate to tell him to get down. Like i said earlier just a bad all-around play.

Agreed!! Then everyone got mad and started cry in over nothin. Meanwhile Cruz is lying there with a broken leg lol.

Almost getting stepped on. Situation like that you give the injured player and the medical team some space. I understand being annoyed but that could have ended even worse.

Think Pittsburgh will call up Peguero eventually or just plug the gap till he comes back?
-
Not necessarily season ending. Should be back in 4 months.

I thought I read 10-12 weeks. I hope SDS brings back his FS card from 2022. That is probably one of my top 10 favorite cards ever.
