These legends were missing from MLB The Show 22. Just wondering if they're in 23?

    Bonds
    Clemens
    McGwire
    Jose Canseco
    Sosa
    A-Rod

Bummer. But I guess 2 out of 6 is a start.

They should run a "player poll" for fans to vote on who they'd like to see included.

I hate that they are part of the live series rewards, because I will never use them. If Jeter wasn't the final reward, I would skip the live series altogether.

I think there would be more success in a letter writing campaign to the players asking them to provide the rights to their likenesses so we, as their fans, can have them in the game.

    Sure that's it?

Because I was under the impression the reason these controversial players aren't in the game is because MLB The Show thinks it's a "bad look" to include them...just like they don't include Pete Rose.

Rose is banned from baseball. Thats completely different. They've had Giambi in the game for years. Steroids were never the issue. You have X amount of dollars to split up amongst all the legends. You have to pay to use them in the game. It's not as simple as having an intern throw together a player model and card art.

I guarantee if A-rod came to them and said SDS could use his likeness for $5, he would be in the game.

Well other ped guys have been in the game. Ortiz, Giambi, Gagne ect. So it wasn't because of that.

Bonds isn’t (and won’t be) in this or any future games because he won’t sell the rights to his likeness. He is such a douchebag. At Oracle Park in the Giants’ Dugout Store, you can buy a blank Giants jersey and have any name and number put on, but they won’t allow 25 Bonds unless you show them proof it’s your last name.

I tried to do the same with a Michael Vick Falcons jersey from their team website .... They would not allow the combination of his last name and number to be ordered. However I am not sure this one was Vick's doing.

I’d bet it is mostly due to the players not wanting to sell the “rights and likeness” to be in the game.

All the money that’s spend for making this game. At least get the baseball cards correct. A lot of errors on were certain players played in their careers that is not correct. I E McGuire playing for Baltimore which never happen.

This describes the Bonds situation in a nutshell... remember Joe Dowd and Reggie Stocker? (I think those where the names of Barry Bonds stand-ins for MVP and The Show respectively.)

recently or while he was out of the league? Just went to Falcons site and they have Vick's jersey for sale, now OJ and Bills is another story... his jersey is still blocked from being order or custom made.

I wonder how many players this has happened to cause I do remember Vick being blocked (nice to see that his jersey is back, I used to have one prior to him getting in trouble), let me look up Ray Rice real quick... his worked... NFL really not messing with OJ... wow

This was within the last year. Probably start of NFL season last year so, August or September. Yea, I would really like to get one of the Nike Limited Vick jerseys with the old Falcons jersey from when he was a rookie.
