Live Series Collection Not as Valuable until Set 3

For the sake of the following argument, let’s assume that the American League collection reward is Mark McGwire, the National League collection reward is Sammy Sosa, and MLB collection is Derek Jeter.
To be honest, the world baseball classic Lindor will probably be the preferred card at shortstop, not to mention the Trea Turner as well, I think a smart strategy might be to simply complete the NL collection at first, you can get Sammy Sosa for much cheaper than what the AL collection will cost and there are already cards featured that will be comparable to Mark McGwire and Jeter.
As long as you finish the entire live series collections before the start of set 3 to you will be good because they are part of the core collection. By waiting till closer to the end of set 2, the price should go down and youll have more Stubbs. Set 3 is when the core set becomes most valuable because all set 1 cards drop off (minus your 1 wild card).
Use earlier bank roll on the best set 1 cards and wait on Jeter / Mark
To be clear, I plan on having LS collection done by mid May because I grind a ton and know the market for flipping. But in general, loading up on set 1’s best cards earlier is a smart move.
Tl:dr - 1) collect NL only for Sosa 2) Wait until AL costs go down and Finish AL prior to set 3 so you can use the core cards when set 1 gets cut off (minus your 1 wild card).
The core series will be most valuable when set 3 drops, but should close less by that time. In the meantime use stubbbs to get headliners, other collections etc.

I think you make good argument that said I think like many other factors there are so many unknowns going in and trying to predict the market. If SDS decides to pump up live series so high end diamonds hit that 97 to 99 mark then what cause a 99 Shohei would be extremely good and rare

True! I’m just theorizing trying to kill time until 5pm eastern.

We know there's at least 3 sets. But...
Will they go to season 4 / set 4?
... OR ... will they rotate back to set 1?
We may find out tonight, or we may find out in July-ish.

NL will not be cheaper if everyone has the same idea. Supply and demand, homie.

Especially since the Ls high diamonds already look irrelevant, the price of each league will be equal to the perceived value of the collection cards (ie Sosa + the 3 NL divisions).

If option A is to use Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire and option B is to not use Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire I'll take option A every single time.

Jeter, McGwire and Sosa have been my most wanted Legends for years so they unfortunately have me by the balls on this one and I'm not even mad.

I'm just glad all this Set Talk "Useability" doesn't affect me in any way. I don't play Ranked Seasons but for a few games here and there if I'm all caught up on everything.
