Derek Jeter redeem is exactly what I would expect

Yeah it's a low diamond (86) and he'll get a 99, but this is exactly what I would expect from a Jeter card:
100ish contact
50ish power
74 Fielding
64 reaction
80 arm
82 speed

I agree, that's what I'd expect too. Fielding is right, if he got to the ball he made the play, his Fielding issues were a lot more about range, hence the 64 reaction.

If the tech test holds true, which it only does for a month until they patch something, high contact low power cards were money.
My best hitter was Yonathan Daza 33 and 35 power numbers. Hit well above .600
So there’s a part of me excited for this card, even though I’m not a Jeter fan.

It's because of the bad outfielders, the ball will land in the shallow outfield consistently where no one can make a play.

Chances are this card will stay in my lineup until a better SS is released.
Was it stated that the pack will be a limited release?

No I think it will be available to anyone who buys the game, not just pre-orders. But I'm not 100% sure, maybe someone else can confirm.

If they release a bunch of other Yankees he played with then I’d be excited. Maybe do a Halladay type program for him. Would love to see Bernie, Cone, O’Neil, Pettite, Wetteland, Tex, etc.

Like some of the LS guys available day 1? I will take 80 something contact with 80 something power over 100's con and 50's power anyday.

Maybe not Wetteland as I think he's had some issues off the field, but yes ×1,000,000 to everyone else.
-
This should be his end game card. Stats are very realistic to how he was

Can't believe this is happening but I 100% agree.

I mean, SDS is a video game company. It’s not their job to be the morality police. Hopefully they get away from that now that the roid boys are in the game. The idea that we don’t have legends in the game because they don’t pass SDS’s moral standards is laughable. Bring back Alomar and Cobb.

For a day one card I’m fine with that. It’ll just be nice to finally play with the Captain again.

Exactly. It's a free card that will allow people to use him the day the game is released as opposed to locking him behind a long, expensive collection which will likely be the case for his best diamond.

I disagree... the image of a company matters. But... from a business perspective you have to ask this question.
"Does including player A cost more sales of the game than it nets?". Alomar, Cobb and others not included due to conduct issues will not impact MLBTS sales very much. Also, MLB is telling them who to exclude I bet and without MLB there is no game.

If they push the cancel button too many more times that will have an impact also. Individuals should be trusted to make their own judgments. Someone can be a great baseball player while also having conducted themselves poorly off the field. Both can be true and often are. The world isn’t black and white.
And just do a little research on Sony’s labor practices in Africa and China. You’ll find a lot worse than anything that any ballplayer has ever done.

There are many things that affect the image of a company. I would say their image had been tarnished ever since they started dumbing down the game since 18 to maintain player retainment. I’m not alone with this assessment either. Might as well put all players in the game if they include Sosa and McGuire.
