Judge is obviously a great player and had a historic season, but there is no chance he's ever in the cover of this game again. 18 is the consensus worst game in the franchise and SDS knows that. I don't think the cover athlete effects game sales that much but Judge on another cover might turn longtime players away for good.

Judge was JUST on the cover guys. He wasnt gonna do it again. And to say Jazz wouldnt be my first choice. Whos to say he was SDS first choice? It isnt like guys are lined up hoping to be the cover boy. Most like to enjoy their time off instead of the extra appearances and interviews. Especially with WBC coming up.

SDS needs to focus on creating a game that actually plays better.
Better servers, less garbage latency, peer to peer.
People.... SDS does not know baseball. They know graphic art.

Really, are you saying that somehow fans of the game can't separate the content of the game from the athlete on the cover?
As for him already having a cover, if there was ever a reason to double up on a cover athlete then I would think setting the AL HR record would be a good one.

I could really care less who is on the cover but with that said, I don't want to look at Jazz every time I open the game either. I'd much rather see Judge and I'm not a Yankee fan. Gameplay is more likely to turn a longtime player like me away for good but I'm a lot older than most you kids anyway who tolerate mediocrity.

Jazz makes a ton of sense. He's intense and he gets noticed. A good choice, really.

I have not seen a single person say the gameplay in 2023 was going to be affected one way or other by Jazz being on the cover. It is possible to hate the cover and/or disagree with the cover athlete and still be looking forward to the game itself.
