I am so envious of you for this. I had myself convinced that if I could just earn ANY of Reggie’s cards that I would have me an automatic home run machine, but after 15 games I still couldn’t hit the ball over the fence with him…im sure it’s 100 percent my fault, because br the same thing when I finally got the Babe’s signature card and that’s been a dud for me also. Man, RJ could murder a baseball (but not the Queen in Naked Gun) and I used to tune in to the Angels games just to listen to his at bats and, despite being towards the end of his incredible career, he didn’t disappoint. When he came back to the A’s for his final season, joining Canseco and that beanpole rookie at first base with the uppercut swing…what was his name…oh yes Mark McGwire, man I just couldn’t WAIT to see that! Turns out that rookie upstaged them all but Reggie was always my favorite…he has some good taste in cars, too!
For me it’s The Kid and Mike Schmidt.
