Still seems crazy that Mays, Gehrig, and Chipper don’t have finest flashback cards. Mays is at least in the argument for best player of all time and Gehrig is in the argument for best first baseman of all time.

A Forever event would be weird with only Flashback packs, because they are so easy to obtain right now. You would assume there would also be something else mixed in. Unfortunately, it seems SDS has called it a day on this game over a month ago, so my hopes are not high

yeah I have almost zero faith that anything new will drop. even worse imo is the event is common pitchers which a few years ago was fun for prestiging cards to red diamond, but seems awful now. I was hoping for a quick counts 6 inning games or something.

I don’t understand why they have just given up on content. Realistically, how many man-hours would it take to create two new cards for the event? The models for all these guys are already in the game. The Retro Finest artwork template is already set up. Just create files for a 99 Mathewson and 99 Doby with some updated attributes and a slapped-together artwork and call it a day. I don’t know much about programming games, but I feel like that could be done over lunch. This deep into the game cycle, the process for creating new cards should be down to an exact science. I don’t get it.

Totally forgot about Mathewson. Arguably a top 10 pitcher of all time and got only a 95 diamond card for him for the entire year.Not releasing any new cards after the new year seems pretty ridiculous since the new game hasnt even been announced yet.

I mean... how hard would it be to throw a Run It Back conquest map in there with 10 new cards? I'd play that until 2023 releases. Right now, I've moved over to RTTS.

I finished the Forever Program last week. Got Mantle and Trout then finished the New Year's Day Map. Now I'm playing 2K23 Tiger Woods. I kept thinking a better Mays would surely appear but it doesn't look like it. Seems like SDS ended early for 22's game cycle.

Now 'other' could mean Juicy, AS, Big Dog, etc packs. It could mean stubs. Or it could mean they added some more cards.

Nope. Just dropped. Nothing but packs. Rewind and packs that everyone else already had. Other than paralleling players; I have no reason to play anymore.

Listen, I don't want to complain about free packs, SDS is awesome about that stuff compared to other games, but in 23 can we get some variety? If I have to open one more juicy, big dog etc pack, I'll go nuts

You want to open some of what I have? I have about 40-50 of each variety pack u opened. And I can't even open them until I decide on putting more 1M Buy Orders in for TN Joe Ryan.

At this stage, ALL live series packs (including BiaH and BooC) are just shy of worthless. The best possible result is to get a Chase Pack, and even those are hit-or-miss. I’ve opened 4 Chase Packs all year, and I’ve pulled 0 Chase cards.
I honestly do hate to complain, but it’s disappointing that the last 500,000+ XP levels of the Forever Program are just variations of live series packs. What’s more exciting to see — that an upcoming reward is 3 BooC packs, or that the next reward is RF Christy Mathewson (or Warren Spahn or Larry Doby or Andrew Miller or Lee Smith, etc)?
All jokes aside, I know SDS cannot possibly be so out of touch with what the fans that they think we would rather have live series packs than new cards, right? So this is either lazy or borderline contemptuous of the hardcores who play from April-to-April every cycle. Just like there’s no good reason why they didn’t throw a couple new rewards into the Forever Event, there is similarly no good reason why we didn’t get Willie Mays at 2,000,000 XP. Forget the million stubs — I don’t think there is a player out there who would rather have a million stubs than a legit end-game Mays.
