With the final Program starting next week; I assume that we won't get many more 99s for players that haven't received one yet?

Or even for players that received a 'low' 99 like David Ortiz?

Willie Mays and Lou Gehrig too. Though we don’t really need any more first baseman with Foxx and Babe, I just feel these two players were disgraced. Even Frank Thomas. I don’t remember a MLBTS game where the three LS collection cards were not ‘end game’ cards due to getting an unnecessary second 99 Randy Johnson or the worst 99 Thomas in years. It’s funny how the one card that was under attributed (don’t know if that is correct English) is the only out of the 3 that didn’t get a second 99.
    Sorry for my rant.

I definitely think the content train is mostly over. I really wish they would add RIB but at this point there not much they could do with it. Maybe they'll add to Mini Seasons. Speaking of which....I'm hoping that gets a face lift next season.

99s I think we still have coming:

    FBs-
    Justin Verlander
    Rafael Devers
    JT Realmuto
    Emmanuel Clase

    Legends-
    Lefty Grove
    Larry Doby
    Rollie Fingers
    Willie Mays (better card)
    Paul Molitor

I'm sure there are more obvious ones but that's all I can think of.

I think we see a good chunk of content over the winter,

Last year they gave us a handful of moments for players that had switched teams as part of FA and it seems was something that would continue however the lockout occurred and I think it handcuffed them to some extent.

You keep forgetting Kenley Jansen, he is much more likely than Clase.

Jake Arrieta and Andrew Miller need their swan song cards yet. Having both retired I can't believe we haven't seen em yet. At least we have a 99 Hosmer and Moustakas tho, among many others who shouldn't have anywhere near 99's. I miss the old days when 99's were for 99 type players.

I see both sides of the argument tho.

Arrieta isn’t in this year’s game at all. He retired last year.

Hahaha...man, not sure why I forget him. I just assume Clase will get a 22 Finest because he was so dominant. But I agree, Kenley has the more decorated career.

I just know Kenley always got a 99 card every year since at least 19 with his signature card. He is also usually the best RH reliever in the game. I am not saying Clase won’t get a Finest, but I think it would be more likely we see a Kenley flashback card. I don’t know what they would do for Clase different from his ASG card. Maybe more pitches?

Nope. He retired during the season. He has a FA card.

Oh, okay. That Arrieta card from last year (I believe it was last year) was one of my top pitchers. I posted something on here a while ago about wanting another card from him and everyone told me he won’t get any cards because he is retired.
Maybe he retired after the FA card was put out?

    Events are still a thing.

Also, expect next years cover boy to get a 99, either via free pack (like last year) or as a preorder bonus (years prior)

Julio Rodriguez already has a 99.

I’m assuming once they release the show 23 that there will be a mass exodus to head over and start all over again

Of course. Though I always say I wish I had my team from the prior year’s game, it’s all about grinding out the new programs for the latest players. I would like them to bring back TA, instead of putting the same type of cards into a time limited program, in turn, having FotF, and Future Stars that are unusable cost a lot of stubs.
It is still the best game.

Yeah, I just started DD in September and I love this, I have always been on Xbox so we haven’t had a good baseball game since MVP baseball or the college baseball game. Really wish they would incorporate a college baseball game. Every mlb the show player would play a college baseball game again. It might have been one of the best baseball games I have ever played.

You know the game has gone to chit when a card like RF Moustakis has more power than Mays card. Disgraced is putting it mildly.

Ouch. Low level Ortiz is still one of my best hitters.

Best is probably the new Bobby Witt

The college baseball game sounds like something I would like, but I would want a mode similar to DD. I’m glad you are enjoying The Show; are you going to pick up next year’s game when it is released?
