Live Franchise, where you can jump into a new franchise and choose your starting point. Such as selecting today's date and jumping in with real life stats, records, rosters.
That sounds pretty cool actually. Speaking of real life, I've been wondering if I need to take Pedro Severino and JC Mejia out of my Brewers lineup...
I'm that guy that likes to play as close to "current" as I can in my Franchise with rosters/lineups etc. Would be cool if mid September you could start a new Franchise and hop in at that date with current rosters and current standings. Make that final push for a playoff spot!

This is really a much better idea than that March to October thing they have. Doesn't sound like it would be all that hard to do either. You just mark the date and then do a live roster update

They can start by fixing glitches which have been around for a few years. Using Ohtani still breaks the lineup at some point and then forces your SP to always hit. The pinch runner glitch STILL happens after 5+ years.
Quick manage is the absolute worst attempt at a quick sim mode I have ever seen in sports gaming.
The fact it's 2022 and there is no jersey number selection screen is lazy.
Player progression, regression, and retirement is fundamentally broken. There's zero reason why players who reach mid to late 30's and are below a 65 OVR don't retire. This floods the minor leagues and FA pool with players who are unusable and way too costly to fill up a MiLB spot.
Scouting is horrendous. The system has needed an update for a few years.
Scheduling is done in the laziest way possible and doesn't rotate through the opposite league's divisions for interleague play (so, if in 2022 you play the NL Central, you play the NL Central EVERY year for your interleague games).
Coaches can't be extended at the end of the season before they hit the FA market (laziness).
CPU teams routinely go over budget (by millions) causing player movement to be restricted.
Generated players from the draft only use ONE type of glove webbing, a webbing that pitchers SPECIFICALLY don't use. Beyond that, player generation is incredibly dull. SDS puts in no effort to make players generated for the draft standout in appearance in anyway.
There are no league control options. I should be able to turn the DH on/off in between seasons at will, same with the extra inning runner.
For some reason, SDS insists on using "live action" players on the schedule screen and hitting "play game" causes the opposing player to cycle through their jerseys for anywhere from 2-10 seconds.
Franchise mode (just like RTTS) is incredibly lazy and SDS has continued down the path of following EA, so I don't have any hope for the title.

So why do you keep playing? Why don’t you quit? If the game is that bad then why bother playing?

Bring back the marketing aspect of franchise. It is SUPER boring how it is now. I've been playing since their first year and having to decide on promotions, merchandise, food and drink prices, ticket prices made franchise better. Once it was taken away, there wasn't much point to franchise. If they are going to do franchise---get it back to what it would be like to actually run a franchise

Franchise is a role-playing mode with no role playing elements. It has zero soul.

I would like to see an option for shorter seasons than having to play 162 games. I would like to play multiple years and not have to sim. Maybe an option for around 50 games

Another thing they could use is a revamp to the training, player development, drafting and pitcher use in games. The training hasn't changed in years except to take away the ability to increase pitcher stamina and position player speed.
With player development, why am i not able to train a position player on a new position?! happens all the time. Also, why can't pitchers learn new pitches. I mean how many pitchers use the same three or four pitches their entire career and how many pitchers learn that one new pitch and it changes their career entirely. There should also be a player development program. Just look at the dodgers, they have the best player development program in the entire league. how many other teams can keep bringing guys up year after year like they have been.
That brings me to drafting. Why is there no international signing period. that is a major part of how certain teams find a get talent on a consistent basis. and there need to be more scouts with year-round scouting. You could have your 4 main scouts: East, West, Central, and international. But put in regional scouts as well so that they can be sent to find players in every state. Put in hidden gems and possible busts and hide true potential for up to a year.
Lastly, I would like to see a more in-depth utilization of the manager. and by this, I mean real life use of relief pitchers. I have seen the cpu teams bring in the same 3-4 relievers in a 4-game set so many times and it didn't matter what the score was. I have had setup pitchers throw a total of 10 innings in an entire season while simming and they were guys like Hader or Clase and moving them around didn't seem to do anything. NBA 2k has a system that allows you to create rules like if your team is up by 20 then you can put in all subs so a starter doesn't get injured. Something to that effect that says, if this guy pitched two days in a row he doesn't pitch a third, or have it so you can designate a setup man to the 7th and one for the 8th. Seasonal fatigue needs to be a thing as well.
would love to hear some feedbak and what you guys think

A cheese shortage

NBA 2k23 has a "start today" option in their "season/franchise" mode. which basically would be what I had suggested above. Its a cool feature to start at today where current stats and team W/L records are in place.

That has been my biggest complaint about this game since they removed the option in 2017

I have written in depth suggestions for a way to do expansion, including package DLC prebuilt expansion teams. Because there will be 2 challenges to expansion. Realignment of the league and Cool/Individualized stadiums.
The addition I really want, is the ability to sign new TV deals that can increase the budget of your franchise. Call it, the Padres model. The Padres have been able to spend money over the past couple of years, because they had a massive TV deal. This would help someone turn a small market team into a competitor. And would be awesome in the game
-
How about options to play 60 80 or 100 game seasons like most baseball games use to let u
-
I know SDS can care less about franchise but at the very least can you fix the ai I’m tired of seeing my worst relievers get all the innings or my long relievers and my bench only using a guy or two
-
Please bring back the previous commentary crew, these new guys are all around terrible, or at least bring back Heidi
-
How about the ability to start a franchise, play it all year long, and then allow me to continue to use it in next year's version of the game (i.e. Y2Y saves).
