That would be crazy, but I disagree that it has to be him. What about all the players that deserve a 99 but don’t have one? Verlander, Kenley Jansen,
Willy Mays (I know he isn’t a pitcher and has the Takashi card, but he is more deserving of a better 99 than Randy Johnson). -

Randy, Lefty Grove and Christy Matthewson and only one of those names would habe people shelling out any stubs.
Actually Gagne is another option.

I agree it's probably Randy but there are a few other options right? Rollie Fingers, Lefty Grove, Eric Gagne, John Smoltz....with that said...none of those really warrants a WS reward so I'm still with you, I just wanna make sure I know how to play the guessing game right haha...and know how you always narrow it down and get iT right. What about Arrietta? He's popular.

For a milestone pitcher it's most likely guaranteed a No- hitter card, leaving Randy and Mathewson. Rollie wouldn't be a 99 unless it was Retro finest and even that would be pushing it. Smoltz' only milestone would be 3000 strikeouts, which wouldn't be good enough for a mid-November WS reward. Gagne would be the same card as last year, which was Easy to acquire. Arrieta is still a flashback until he is removed from the game and added back in. So Randy because Mathewson is terrible. Grove's only milestone is 300 wins

You might as well. Somehow I jumped from 1 million stubs on Friday to 3 million stubs on Suday AND I got Mantle. I guess I may have over prepared for the collection. But yes drop the stubs, what else are you going to spend them on. Pretty sure next promo will be the one with all the former bosses in it so the amount of new cards we are getting from now until they pull the plug on the game will be minimal.

Twitter confirmed Randy. Everyone who doesn’t want to grind Ranked can look forward to an infinite wait for the Randy card…
I doubt more than a few dozen actually get sold. Anyone who earns him is unlikely to need the 900k stubs. I’m guessing only dudes who get World Series and hit the innings goal will be selling one.
I wish they would put a no sale version in the store for 1 million stubs like Madden does for certain cards.
