Should of been Jays, so triggered..Bye!

Jays wouldn't have lasted against the Astros either bud, Mariners put up the best fight against them so far, i think the Mariners might have been able to handle the Yankees.

Btw the Astros are 4 wins away from becoming the first team since the 1976 Reds to sweep the playoffs.... hopefully now that i've said that it jinxes them lol.

    From a M's fan...

Let's go Phils! Beat them 'Stros!

I don’t have a preference based on the teams, but the fact that one of the teams had the best record in the AL and the other was a third place team with a record just above .500, tips the scale a little.
I would rather watch the game if the Mariners had come in 1st and made the playoffs. Since you’re a Mariners fan (I think) I just want to say you have a special player in that kid Julio Rodriguez, I hope he grows into a big star. I just worry about how they will improve the rest of the team.

Were they actual roommates? If so, I do find that to be an interesting fact. Thanks for sharing.

I want to see the Phillies win ONLY because I want to see the 4 top season winning teams lose. (LAD, HOU, NYM, NYY) Just proves again & again what you did all season long doesn't mean squat in a best of 3, 5 or 7 series.

I wouldn't say it doesn't matter, had they not done well, they'd have been playing golf at the beginning of October along with all the other sub .500 teams. There is no perfect solution. The only way to ensure the best two teams from the season are in the World Series is to do away with the playoffs and just award the best record in each league the pennant. Speaking as somebody who loves baseball, no thank you. The Dodgers and Braves had every advantage imaginable. A skipped round of playoffs. Rest and a set pitching staff, home field...they lost because when 2 teams play, one of them has to win and subsequently one has to lose. I hope this doesn’t cone off like I'm directing it at you, you just said what I've been hearing all month. What more could we have done to make the Dodgers path to the WS easy? Carried them there on piggy back?

I hope the Phillies win. They eliminated my two favorite teams but I am an NL guy forever.

Always trust content from the Showstorian.
    Always.
ESPECIALLY if it involves Tigers. (No, not that kind...)

That’s the problem with baseball today. It should matter what happens in a 162 game season. Now because they allow teams that came in third place make a WC round where a first place team is forced to play in is ridiculous. By the way, the NYM were a second place team, not one of the top 4, ATL won that division. I don’t care for either team in the WS. Can you tell me why you hate teams that play well for 162 games?

Regular season record IS irrelevant, just look at who the dodgers and astros matched up with for 80 of those 162 games. the braves and mets got to beat up on the marlins and nats.
the only the best record teams in the WS was in effect for 67 years and baseball didnt like it and changed it. adapt or build your own Delorian.
