Why in the sam F**K would Francona start that [censored] Civale in a game like that and not Biebs? Both Cortes and Bieber on 3 days rest, you throw your horse out there and hope for the best. Not some [censored] with bad stats in the postseason AND against NYY
Am I missing something?? lol

Diehard Yankees fan here and I agree. Think he got caught looking ahead to the next series. Bieber was great in Game 2 though so figured you would go back to him in a must win.
More surprised there was no challenge on that call at first where the runner clearly beat Rizzo to the bag. What happened there?

I don’t think Cleveland fans had a choice in game managing decisions. Lol

Congratulations. That was a solid Yankee win. Stanton and Judge HRs, timely hitting by Rizzo and strong pitching throughout. That was very surprising to see Tito with some missteps, not sure why you go with Civale there. Either Beiber or Bullpen day or both.
Good point about the play at first. Great play by Rizzo but they should have challenged. Still, Yankees won, hope they can push the Astros to a good series.

Yeah, I don't follow the Guardians closely. Thought I was genuinely missing why he would start that guy there. Same boneheaded decision that our manager made not pulling Helsley in our game 1 against PHI, that probably cost the Cards the series

MLB did whatever ever they could to get NYY to the ALCS

The Cardinals were a first place team, they should have never had to play in the WC series. I hope they get a chance next season.
You weren’t serious about the whole MLB fixed the game to make the NYY win, right? I’m too old to understand those emoji things. -

Yep have to agree. Last night it stopped raining for 1 hour 45 minutes. Cleveland was ready to play and the Yankees never came out to the dugout. Gave their pitcher one more day of rest. Now they will get beat up by the Astros. Karma

I agree that they should have gone to Bieber, but Civale was lights out his last few starts.

It was a dumb move. I agree. Bieber has always been their ace so he would’ve been the smarter choice. I think Cleveland will be good for a while though. A lot of young talent. The Yankees had twice as many home runs as them this year but the Guardians had more hits. Actually the Guardians had more hits than strike outs this year. I respect teams that win by playing small ball. I remember the Royals were like that when they won the World Series in 2015.

Man people who hate the Yankees will come up with lots of wild theories. MLB fixed it lol. They were the better team, take out the lucky bloops and weak contact and the series was done in 4.
Also, for those who don’t follow them look at the year that Taillon had. He was very solid. In his 32 starts, the Yankees were 24-8. Yankees were taking this Series and didn’t need MLB’s help.
