First off it has to start with the first pitch of the first attempt.

If it's going to be a ball and you swing and completely miss; the pitcher will continue to throw outside the zone until you either strike out or it ends up as a 3-1 count. Then they'll throw it close, if not, in the zone to see if you'll swing.

If you don't swing, making it a 3-2 count, the next pitch is going to be a ball about 75% of the time.

Now if the first pitch, of the first attempt, is thrown for a strike (taken) then the next one will be another strike about 75% of the time. Once you get to an 0-2 count they'll either throw it away out the zone or try to catch a corner/end of the strike zone.

Need to do some more 'practice' to see if this actually holds up and is consistent.

This is in the game strategy book, read it to figure out how the cpu will react to your hitting style.

If you're trying to say the CPU learns from what you do on the first pitch of an AB....we're all screwed cause that means it's Sentient and the Beginning of Skynet...

This is definetely true. Every time I swing at a pitch, even just a couple inches of the plate, I know im screwed because I ain't gonna get anything good to hit and the moment is to get 'hits'

Exactly how much does the CPU know, do you think? Because if it knows about my panda meat ring, I want everyone to know I thought I was signing up for a “panda meet ring.” I just wanted a selfie with a panda, honest. But once I tried my first panda sausage omelet I knew I could never go back to boring old white tiger meat.

Wait… you don’t think the cpu knows about the white tiger meat, do you?

I have an amazing strategy for moments. Considering they’re all on Rookie and Veteran I don’t overthink them like you and I just swing away and complete them. You posted last week that you let the moment play out without swinging to see how they will pitch you. How about you just swing at the first decent pitch and try and complete it? If you fail it takes 3 seconds to restart it.

    It’s not rocket surgery.

nah bro i think ur good. If the CPU doesn't know who's htting or where the balls been hit half the time, I don't think It knows about you panda meat.

In the game strategy guude it says clearly that the cpu will pitch based on what you do and if you’re a free swinger it will try to get you to chase, also says that the cpu will try to throw more fastballs when it gets behind in the count

Sounds like the way most pitchers would handle the situation.

Yeah, that’s exactly what happens online too. The CPU behaves the same way a pitcher would, get in good hitter counts and you’ll get something good, get in a pitcher’s count and they’ll try to expand the zone.
