Legends of the Dashboard Event

I've quit 98% of my games in this event without dashboarding and simply lose the other 2%. It's rude and annoying but it's unavoidable. That being said, a question for all. Are the only players left WS players and MLBTS Gods? There has to be someone out there playing that sucks more than I do.

Me. But after my first two games consisted of BOTH my opponents holding R2, for the max, after EVERY pitch, along with bunt dancing, I decided it's not worth the frustration. I have no desire for Brett, Cutch or Rollins; so if I don't get them, I don't get them.

With their previous, and some say ongoing, server issues; along with possible connection losses due to power outages and ISPs all of a sudden doing maintenance; there is no way SDS can implement any kind of 'punishment' or 'reward' to deter from dashboarding.
If people are that worried about losing potential PXP; then don't try to acquire it playing H2H. Play Conquest, Play vs CPU, or Mini Seasons.
Dashboarding generally only refers to people quitting in the very brief 2-second window between the ball leaving the bat and landing in the seats. How often do you really think that legitimate power outages and ISP server maintenance happens in that exact 2-second window? I would say somewhere between negligible and none. Give everyone the benefit of the doubt ONCE per event or RS season or month or however they decide. But after that there needs to be a penalty. The odds of a legitimate power outage happening in that 2-second window TWICE is astronomically low.

The think the most likely explanation is that those that excel with online play contuine to play and those that kinda played online have gone full offline play.
I have gone full offline myself cause after I took a break from playing and hope online I was so much out of practice I couldn't bother to get back up to speed

Last couple of games I got a dashboard win and then my next game the opponent gave me Nolan, bunt cheese, followed by Randy out of the pen. Expecting that now with the way this event is set up.

It doesn't happen alot but it does happen. I was playing a game the other night. BR game. It was around 1am EST. My pitcher threw a pitch and as soon as the ball was hit I got a 'Lost Connection's message. It even kicked me from the app AND PS+.
Looked at my modem and saw it was off. Called the cable company and before I could even select an option there was a message stating they were conducting maintenance between the hours of 1am and 6am in my area.
Now, would that happen often? No. But it could happen.

Another reason why they can't implement a penalty towards people that dashboard: Freeze offs would NEVER end.
Why would someone want to take the loss AND a penalty?

Because the penalty is voided as soon as Little Timmy plays a full 9 inning game. Unless of course Timmy quits 13 games in a row, then Timmy can play 13 full games to get back to the 1.00 multiplier. I see your stuck on an IQ of 11 but if you reach 12 you’ll see the genius in it.
Probably why you also think freeze offs are an excuse. One development issue apparently excuses other development issues lmfao.

Whoa. What constitutes you coming out during with intellectual insults?
All I said was that there would be no way for a company to be able to distinguish whether a lost stat was because of a dashboard or a loss in connection.
It just wouldn't work.
If a person is that worried about losing a homerun; than don't play a mode where you can possibly get cheated out of said homerun. Okay an offline mode.
But what about the added bonus for playing online? Well that's a chance you take. Okay online for an extra 'half point' and hope your HR counts or play offline for the minimal amount and know it will count.
Besides, people can also do the cheap way offline and it they have a next gen console play at a creates stadium that has no outfield walls and just mash homerun after homerun against the CPU for hours on end.
Or better yet; get rid of paralleling a card altogether.

I love dashboards. Easy win and the satisfaction of knowing how mad they are.
Exactly, and it’s 3k xp for the program. Boom!
I’ll take that over 50pxp for a player any day. -
I don't understand why people are so obsessed with their player stats. Some solid players willing to just dashboard before letting up an earned run then going down 1-0.

I would say more better players are in this event because of the XP for the program and 6 rewind cards that you can get by 25th win. The BR program is really weak right now. I went 10-1 on a run and most games I let up zero runs. I am not a good pitcher.

So I don't typically play online. If someone dashboards do they get a loss and you get the win?

Already lost 3 HR with Hank Aaron alone tonight, plus a number of others with different hitters.
This is one of the most frustrating things about online play to me. SDS, maybe by next year you can figure out a way for the game to recognize the no doubt HR off the bat so when the soft lil kids dashboard, it will still count. Or like others have said, figure out a way to start punishing these players.
PS- Hank Aaron is legit
I started playing DD in 2017 I do not think it will change next year.

Correct. Free win.

I don’t play online except casual games with friends due to the scenarios listed above. It’s too bad they can’t divide the competition up based on how many quits or lack thereof an opponent has so you know going in. I would never quit, I suck but I’ll take the loss and be sporting. Totally sucks that that type of behavior craters the online experience

There are a lot of people that you can tell are miserable playing online since it’s the only way to grind the program after you do all the moments/exchanges/conquest.
