None of them stood out to me so I've concentrated on hitters.

But who is the best of the bunch? Oswalt?

I think AJ Burnett will be pretty good. All of them might be decent.

AJ Burnett usually ends up being one of my best pitchers, and I think this is the first year he’s getting a 99. Very interested to see how well I can pitch with him this time.

I think it was 19 when all my best pitchers were 94, 95, or 96 Sig Series — Burnett, Jack Morris, Jim Palmer, Kerry Wood, Greinke, and Catfish Hunter. Man those were the days. I have such good memories of playing The Show back in 19. And those content streams! I miss the content streams. They are such an afterthought (at best!) these days. We almost never ever see Ramone anymore. Frankly I think the game plays a lot better in 22 than it did in 19, but I just seemed to enjoy it so much more back then. I still love the game, so I guess I’m just rambling for the sake of nostalgia.

Oh! And the soundtrack! Night Running, Put it Down, Come to Play. Man. Life was better.

Burnett is probably the best one, followed by Lee and Oswalt. Sutton and Weaver will probably be good enough. That being said, avoid Cy Young and Saberhagen at all costs. They are the worst 2 cards in the program by a pretty wide margin

Sutton is right handed Valenzuela with a sinker. If you are playing a goon guys like Sutton or Valenzuela are better than Nolan Ryan…. etc…..

Good call. I think Sutton is really good too. His break on his pitches is top notch. Especially that screw ball. Guys like that you need to pitch backwards which can just as effective as a Nolan for example. Instead of blowing a fastball by them you put them in a rocking chair instead and keep them off balance.

I'm not disagreeing but why these two? And what about Glavine?

He doesn’t have a change up, which is a key part in Valenzuela‘s repertoire. So I would say similar, but nowhere near the same.

Cy Young has 3 curveballs and his pitch speeds are either fast or slow. No slider and his changeup being as slow as the curves is bad. Saberhagen just has way to basic of a pitch mix to be any good or interesting. Glavine is fine but he's really not all that much of an improvement over his 95 card tbh

19 was one of my favorite years of this game. It is a fine vintage, with 11 inning programs. Vision meant a lot more, though I don’t know why people say it doesn’t matter anymore). They had a Rick Ankiel card! Signature Series was the only big series for legends. It had two of the best Finest cards I have used: Bregman and Bellinger; I paid a million stubs each the next year when they brought them back. Frank Thomas had a good swing. There was no such thing as outlier. Okay, I better stop reminiscing. I would go on forever.

I am in the minority of people who like Saberhagen cards. Cy Young usually has a mix of a bunch of slow breaking pitches and a fastball. I really did not look at his card yet. As for Glavine, his 95 was good, aside from the fact his per9s were low. If they changed that I am happy enough. I agree that Burnett, Lee, and Oswalt all look good. I am excited to use these.
