This happened in a Ranked Season game I played recently. Kerry Wood, through nine innings, had thrown 134 pitches. And was still on Green strength. Not red. Not even yellow. I mean, come on. That's ridiculous. How is that even possible. What would wear him out -- 200 pitches? Has anyone else seen anything like this? I know that SDS doesn't seem to worry about pitchers losing zip on their fastball as they tire, but I thought they at least cared about keeping things in the realm of reality for other stuff. And no pitcher throws that many pitches and doesn't tire. Maybe Nolan Ryan in the 1970s or Walter Johnson or someone like that. But if they throw that many pitches, they need to seriously weaken in other areas.

Did you play last year? Was even worse then. There was this pitcher very few people used named Jacob Degrom and the only way to get him out of the game was to hit a liner off his head.

Yea but they would just bring in another starter, also a pitcher no one used in Edward Cabrera.

Cy Young, Pud Galvin, and Walter Johnson scoff at Kerry Wood and only 134 pitches!

The Big Train threw 134 pitches before getting out of bed in the morning. Then he'd throw 134 more before his first cup of coffee.

Then the real warmup would begin.
