Unfortunately SDS don't make this game for people who just want to play casually and have fun. This game is geared at the serious, competitive gamer who is more likely to spend money to be competitive!! This game stopped being about game play as soon as micro-transactions were a thing.

Honest question. What do you consider finishing the program, getting to the bosses or getting to the end?

It seemed like I barely played this program, skipping at least 50% of the days it was active, if not more, and I still made it to the bosses. Mainly I did the two conquests, all of the moments (including topps now that released in that time frame) and a single failed attempt at the the Showdown. I never even attempted any Extreme content.

Of course if you are one of those who feels you have to get to the very end of the program then I can understand you feeling that you do not have enough time. But, I honestly don't believe SDS expects the average user to get to the end. It is for the hardcore guys that do play hours every day.

I honestly thought the first 3 posts here were from the same person, I didn't look at the names lol.

But I agree, I don't have time to play every day and even when I can, it's not much more than 1 game or a handful of Moments. I did pretty well with the Future Stars program, but that was one of the longer ones.

Yeah as @dolenz said, what they consider to be completing thenprogram is the last boss pack. Even in only 2 weeks there is plenty of time to get 200k xp

Yeah, I missed 8 days of this program on vacation, and was still able to get the bosses. Didn't get all that much after that.

They actually gave too little xp for this one. I haven't even cashed in my extreme cards, done any spotlight moments, or and week 2 collections and still hit 500k a few days ago with limited playing time.the extreme program gave a ton of xp

The only thing good about the short programs is that is guarantees new content sooner. I took several days off when Madden came out. I was still able to comeback and really take advantage of the double xp the last few days. I also had Wood and Chapman to trade in for Xp so that helped. I did the 2 conquests and did most of the legend stat missions which helps tremendously. I did not touch either showdown. I grinded hard the last couple days and just got to the 500xp reward. So it is possible, you just have to have enough time to put into the game when they drop that double xp.

In most of these programs everything after the boss is just fluff. I don't ever seem to pull anything out of packs so I don't really care about that stuff.

I don't think it will be very much of a worry this time around, all 4 of the extreme rewards will be involved in the collections for 30XP each, conquest will be at least 30XP, the moments at least 15XP, the missions at least another 20XP, and the exchanges for 30XP. That's 215XP on the first day and that's not even taking in to account playing time.

The extreme cards count toward this new program as well?

I think they are going to, not everyone had them the first week they dropped, I'm guessing of course but it would make sense to me at least.

Totally disagree. I feel like all of the programs are getting the appropriate length that they need to have to get them done. I was a late starter to grinding the Featured program but seeing packs return in other programs (including Featured programs) has me not as stressed as I was when I first made my return to online gaming. Making every program 4 weeks just makes everything too rigid and boxed in... what if its a program that you really want to do but can't because you're on vacation that week and you opt not to pack your gaming console or setup remote play? What if other factors beyond your control take you away from your game for 1-4 weeks? The bigger programs get more time, the smaller programs get less time and then you have a mix in between that are available in "Other Programs"

Me personally instead of wanting all the programs to 4 weeks, I think a bigger change to the game would be keeping Featured Programs available similar to how "Innings" were in previous The Show games were XP outside of the mode only counted towards whatever the current inning was but you could still grind through that inning program.

^This is what I liked about the TA program. It was always there to work on and grind through.

I doubt the extreme bosses are in collection day one. And I bet it’s collect two this time, not individual like last time. Next program will be three and finally all four. That gives everyone time to progress.
