I still enjoy it and understand there are only so many things they can overhaul while still being able to release a constant stream of content.

You brought madden into this discussion by trying to tell everyone how people are playing madden now. No [censored] Sherlock? Bottom line, if I do t like a game I go play other things. I don’t come to the boards and complain about it and threaten to leave. The game has a couple issues but rewards and game modes isn’t one of them. Only in your eyes. The reason that the gaming community is going to play madden is 2 reasons, the first, it’s new and fresh but within a month those same guys will move on to NBA 2k, like they do every year. The second, is more of the mechanics of the game. Which most of us get, accept them for they are and keep playing or we go play something else. Now please tell me where it hurt you.

It doesnt expire, it will just sit there for you to take a shot at every now and then if you are feeling brave, or sit there and grind it all out in a week or 2 if you want. It isnt part of a program or RS, or BR. It is just an added feature that a lot of us were pretty upset they took away for 1 year last year. Regular Moments, showdown and conquest offer absolutely NO challenge to most people who play this game yearly. Extreme is a great way to kill some of the monotony.

Surprisingly, SDS actually made a huge improvement to sim times this year. It used to take at least twice as long to sim each hex. but I completely agree -- it takes way too long and there's really nothing strategic about it. Just build up an army and sim, reload, repeat. If there was more to it than just click and wait, I think that would be kinda cool
I agree….they did a great job of improving the sim times. I just still don’t understand how this mode relates to a baseball game. People always tell me “it’s like Risk” and “you get all these free packs”. That still just does t help me understand how it relates to a baseball game.
People also say there really isn’t anything new they can do with the game. How about a conquest type mode that doesn’t involve hexagons and numbers, but involves random attacks where I have to shutdown the heart of their order with my ace or I have to score a run in one inning against their ace.

what you say here is 100% true - that being said - go play online in Ranked or Events or BR then - i hate moments so i don't play them, i don't need to whine online about them because i prefer the online experience - others prefer moments - stop being a giant toddler
if you don't like those game options then throw your game into the trash, it's not for you

Which is always interesting to me….people hate Showdown which is baseball oriented yet love Conquest which is based on a board game. People love conquest because of free packs, not what they are actually doing in the mode. People hate Showdown because of the one and done nature of it.

It's always funny how people take streamers going to Madden as a diss on this game. It's almost like if they don't get content out at the beginning of a new games cycle then noone will care about it but no, that would be logical, it's definitely because SDS is run by Satan and hates baseball

Nope. Several of the streamers I watch didn’t switch last year, but did this year. Heck, I haven’t played Madden since 2012 and I switched (I don’t stream). The show gameplay is a mess and the “playing as intended” line really cheesed a lot of people off.

i've played this game since sammy sosa was on the cover - online plays just fine - every year has it's own issues - you sound like you don't like OFFLINE and ONLINE modes - why are you even here ? we get it - you don't like the game - no one cares - can you get over it mentally at this point?

I hate showdowns because they are regurgitated moments packaged as “showdowns” with an entry fee. Well at least that was how they were laid out when I stopped playing them a year ago.
