Its the same every year. A group of MLB The Show players bolt for the newest and shiniest Madden.
The rest of us continue to play MLB The Show.
Me, personally. I have no desire to go to Madden.

I’ve played MUT … every … year… since 2011 . I’ve dumped thousands into that game over the years. 99s after 99s I’ve seen it all.
Where with DD.. I played in 16,19.. still played 19 thru 21. I finally picked up 22 and am really enjoying it. Madden can wait . I may launch it Halloween time but I’m not invested in it anymore.
So to EACH… THEYRE OWN

^ This. Tbh these forums have been pretty much dead since 2020, a lot of the good people left (or were banned more recently)
Personally, I think it has to do with the copy/paste formula. the more serious players noticed it and realized the facade that is collecting cards in The Show. And how broken the competitive side is. It just isn't worth our time.. I just post on here every once in a while out of boredom.

For me its the game play. I don't play madden and haven't logged onto the show in 3-5 days (I lost count) The inconsistency in gameplay isn't worth the effort. I haven't quit MLBTS this early since 2018.

Madden has the same exact problem. I hadn't bought Madden for the last 2 years and decided to buy it this year because I wanted to play some football. The game play in it is still bad. I think that the OL blocking is even worse than it used to be.
Neither SDS or EA seem to care about game play any more. They're only concerned with how much money they can make from packs/bundles.

You are 100 percent correct. It hurts because I've stuck with this game for so many years and to see it taking the EA route really stings IMO. Once Team Affinity packs and programs were taken away I knew it was the beginning of the ending to the MLBTS we all knew and enjoyed. Super disappointing.

I'm a major NFL fan. I used to play Madden for franchise. They don't care about it, only MUT. My Bucs are finally good, but I would say I've only played for the trophies since Madden '13. I actually Platted that grindy one. Haven't owned one since '19.
I was tempted to get '23, just for the trophies and because I loved John Madden so much irl. His death really hurt. They need to take his name off this train wreck.
Then you have your YT hype-men, like Rayweather, and brainwashed fanboys who have their pants around their ankles for this mess every year.
If you check Ryan Moody's YT vids, you'll get the truth about EA football.
That said, I may get it when it's dirt cheap. I can't even get into preseason NFL rn. -
