Wish I saw these players in the game.

Nintendo switch did leak a derek jeter thing at the beginning of the year and the tweet was taken down so I could see it being a big collection but Cutch was a big L for the amount of stubs it takes to get him. Would love to see a Koufax card

You have 3 or 4 guys on there that could never have a 99 no matter how inflated. Paul O Neil? lol.

Not trying to hate on the guy, he was a great clutch player and very consistent but never the best at anything. They have made fantasy cards for worse players to make them 99 so I'm not saying it won't happen one day, it just wouldn't be a realistic card.
This horrible take gets old but get it in while you can. When Jeter is finally in the game he will be a 99 overall. And he will be one one of the better ones. 99 SS 99 MVP 99 3000 hit club 99 1200 rbi club 99 5x GG, literally take your pick it doesn’t matter.
Horrible take? What year was Jeter the best SS in the league? Like I said, guy was a great player, deserves all the praise in the world but as far as how good people make him out to be you could argue he is the most overrated player in baseball history. Not because he was bad but because you would think the guy won 10 batting titles, lead the league in HRs every year and never made an error with the way people talk about him.

That wasn't a leak. It was a photoshop.

You can make a case for anybody really, but Paul O'Neill isn't the biggest stretch. A Signature Series based on 1994 when he won the batting crown by hitting .359 or Retro Finest based on his stretch from 1995-99 when he averaged .300+ AVG/20+ HR/100+ RBI with nearly a .400 OBP. He also played a solid right field and although he was slow the guy had an absolute cannon.
Not a stretch at all especially when immortals such as Jordan Walker have a 99 overall.

I guess that is true. And a 99 Mussina.

75 Michael Jordan maybe. Say what you want about how future stars but all of them still have had better minor league careers than Jordan did
Would be good for BR

Derek Jeter and Michael Jordan would be pretty tough to make 99s unless they are just complete fantasy cards. It would be fun to see them make a high gold/low diamond series for multi sport guys. Deion Sanders, I saw someone mention a while ago the idea of a FS/ prospect Kyler Murray etc.
How would a 99 Jeter be fantasy?
Idiot

Give me Koufax, Steve Sax ( I know I’m the only guy who wants him), and Lincecum.

I'll second Sax along with Garvey, Guerrero, and Dusty.

They can manipulate numbers lol..they just have to go by his best year..1999 .349 avg and 24 homers 102 rbis 19 sb...
That was 1999. Damien Easley, Rich Aurelia, and Ed Taubenese (WHO?!?) hit 20+ homers that year. Jeter’s statistically best seasons were when EVERYONE was having their best seasons.
Jeters best skill was his ability to stay in the lineup and compile stats. Nothing wrong with that. A lot of players made it to the Hall using precisely that skill (looking at you, Harold Baines). But let’s not pretend he was anything more than a slightly above average player that just happened to play for the right team at the right time.
