Will definitely be giving this card a shot at SS. Does anyone know if his swing was revamped like some other legend swings have been recently?
I’ll buy the Ripken from earlier this year and test it out. Then I’ll sell him back lol

Can't you just go into Batting Practice and select him from the Legends tab?

I used the other Ripken card earlier this year and it seemed like his same awkward stance as years past. I loved his swing for his AS card a few years ago though and wish SDS would use that stance instead.
Btw lots of great cards from SDS to the Orioles latley, Roberts (FOD), Mussina (BR), Rodriguez Future Stars, they had a Tops now player as well and now a 99 Ripken.

Ripken was notorious for changing up his swing mechanic every other week. Just because one Ripken card has a particular swing shouldn’t guarantee that the other has the same ssing.

I saw this too late, I already bought him and tried him. His swing is still awful. He lunges at the ball with a slap swing. Almost falling over. On the plus side I sold him back and made about 4K that quick. Lol
There’s some nice profit margins on him right now. Bought him for 29 and sold him for 42.

I would upvote this but SDS has implemented a crazy new rule apparently were you can only upvote 20 times a day.
Well said though.

He did, but SDS has 2 stances for him. It’s one or the other. This isn’t real baseball.
Last year they gave Cal the 1997 stance on his Milestone card. I assume this one will be the other stance since it’s a 1984 card. I don’t remember liking that one much either, but changes have been made to some other legend stances this year.

Same. I got Ripken’s autograph as a kid. Eddie Murray was there too but he tricked all the kids to back up from his car before he signed anymore and then him and his buddy took off laughing. I was devastated lol

Wait what?!?!!
20 time max? Half the forum still banned? How? Implementation of such a thing would require somebody to know what they're doing instead of just hitting the ban button.

Right, it does make one wonder. I would think there would be more pressing issues right now but hey that's just me.

I remember him being super closed and using the heaviest bat possible later in his career. Dude loved hitting to RF.
Unfortunate story about Murray.
