    What y’all crying about today

    Nah [censored] this game.

Just let us play the game. No need to dictate the outcomes. I'd rather lose 75-46 to an opponent on every pitch than this junk

    75-46 lol wrong sport

Missing the point. But if youd rather the game force outcomes in the spirit of the game I think that's crazy.

Can't be the NFL bc no one scores 75
Can't be the NBA bc no one scores 46
    Can't be soccer or hockey...

Gotta be the TNBA, I mean WNBA, right?

Not crying at all just an observation. You can't honestly say the hitting mechanic this year is great can you?

Play online rated and not dd with all 99s so with my lowly Reds yes hitting is working as intended

If you don’t play DD, why do you respond like you do play it? And if you did play it in years past, you must have hated it enough to play offline only. So yeah, you agree hitting is broken and has been for years.

However, doesn't the RNG engine dictate outcomes

My thought is that there is little to no RNG in hitting. It may seem like it because we don't know all of the variables between pitcher attributes, batter attributes, swing type, swing timing, pitch type, pitch timing, rate of spin, stadium factors, etc.

Maybe there are faulty calculations on their part but, as I said, I don't believe RNG plays much, if any, of a factor in it.

Interesting take. I would like to think they have programmed every calculation but that would be millions of factors for each pitch. Basically the have to code for each pitch, with pitcher vs hitter stats and the. Pci placement plus timing. That might be a several hundred thousand factors just for one pitcher. And that is just zone hitting. I think they would take the easier way out and use RNG which would also level the playing field to keep lesser players engaged. Again, we are both speculating because SDS has never fully explained the hitting mechanic.

As I mentioned before, but I am not sure if it was here, they have in the last few years spent some time in the pre-release streams explaining the hitting system. I think the first was around the time they introduced the three dots into the PCI and I think the other time may have been before this years launch when they explained swing timing, especially as it relates to inside and outside pitches.

Again, I am not saying hitting is perfect but they have gone into some details.

Ok would you mind sharing a link? That’s a lot of information to be cited with no source.

Sure I will do the search for you 🙄

    https://youtu.be/DVEKvlu-ycQ

The timing discussion and how it relates to inside and outside pitches starts at around 28 minutes.

I'm not saying that it will satisfy you or anyone else but it is them discussing hitting in a little more detail. Also, I am not looking for the video from a few years back.

Oh games are most definitely determined by RNG. A lot of really good players lose to lesser opponents because of that trash. You can literally feel the game switch momentum. I would rather get my [censored] beat 20 to 0 by a better player than to lose to someone who can’t even hit .200 but for some reason starts blasting homers like World Series players. Let us win and lose by our own hands not the [censored] A.I

See but in that statements right there is a misconception already.

You make it sound like someone who can't hit .200 can't have a good game and starting blasting home runs. Nobody plays consistently every game, You could have the best game of your life, and then play another game and get absolutely fooled to death.

And I'm not saying that RNG isn't a problem, but a some of it is that we make up our minds in the 1st inning who our opponent is and when it turns out to not be true, it's easy to blame RNG

Nope I’ve called them out plenty the inexcusable removal of online franchise, the lack of franchise updates and most egregious is we can’t select uniforms in online rated it’s 2022 a feature as old as time

Online is a joke period, offline it is more than playable. If not for the offline play options I nnever play it. Totally over run by the bunt cheaters and mismatches caused by too many to mention factors. If the game is working as intended it sure as hell aint baseball.

Playing HOF offline is not the same as PvP. SDS’s AI isn’t smart enough to exploit your weaknesses/tendencies like a human. And playing the same teams over and over sounds more like rinse and repeat.
