Playing Griffey over HRD JRod?

What do you think? HrD Soto and McCutchen are not going anywhere. Maybe just use Griffey as a defensive replacement for Soto. However I might as just use AS Buxton instead. I love Griffey swing but they really made the card hard to use. Lacks vision, not great contact, lacking power compared to AS/ HRD guys, not slow but fast enough, defense is ok I guess. They could have atleast juiced one aspect of his game. Just not sure how or if I can use him.

Well Griffey is a no sell card while Jrod is 200K +
So you’ve got to take that into account

I have Soto and Jrod locked in for completing Jackie. I have all collections finished and a good stockpile of new cards for the next one. Just trying to see if I'm missing something by not playing Griffey.

He’s always a fun card to use but it’s just not very good… It’s not bad either, but with the insane amount of over the top cards this year I have about 10 OFs just as good if not better. And I don’t even have every collection done. He’s hardly above the Bellinger card in reality and any AS card close in attributes but with live quirks is far and away better.

That what I was thinking AS Judge and AS Stanton have better hitting attributes but slower. Judge can actually hold his own on defense. Buxton is faster and better defense. I think even the AS Harper is better because of the active quirks. We also have a free Yordan and that HRD Schwarber is serviceable. Had they given Griffey over 100 contact both side or jacked up the vision to 120 maybe he enters the discussion. They did not need to give us an end game Griffey for free just one that could be useful for a few weeks until we got better CFs released.
