Hello,
First of all, I am aware that there is other threads on this but I thought if I osted my timeline on this it could only help to have it fixed for other people as well. Also, I have been patient and going the ''tickets'' route for 2 months with the results you will see below. This is my Hail Mary.
For the last couple of years I have been using the website on my computer to flip cards. I have my own way to do it with several opened windows at the same time (I am sure I am not the only one) for better/quicker results. I have never used any bot or program of any kind to help me. This is something I like to do almost as much as playing the game.
On beginning of June I get that Account restricted notice. I come see the forums here and threads on reddit and I see that people have access back after a couple of days. A week later, I still have no access. Then the fun begins:
June 8th ticket 197883 advising of the problem
June 14th SDS generic reply: ''The team is aware of this issue and is currently working to resolve this. Thank you for your continued patience.''
June 20th New ticket 199248 with a little less patience (been 3 weeks at this point): ''I have paid the higher tier deluxe edition full price as I do every year. One of the things I like to do the most is play the market on the web during the day. It has now been 2 weeks (to make it worse, timed with when the Gerogre Brett collection is out and flipping cards would be very helpful). The only response I got was a generic ''The team is aware of this issue and is currently working to resolve this. Thank you for your continued patience.'' a week ago.''
June 21st SDS reply: ''Thank you for your message. Please try again using a different browser. We regret any inconvenience caused by this. Thank you for playing The Show.'' --> wow, try a different browser, they almost asked me to turn off and turn on my computer again
July 3rd still not working. I reply to their last communication with me (with even less patience as you can see): ''tried a different browser, access still restricted, nothin from your side besides generic answers, no solutions, no help. Payed the full higher tier and cannot flip cards since a month. Please do something. Looking more and more like the ''other'' company. I am just asking for help, I have been really patient, you had no problem taking my money, and I have not had access to a basic feature for a full month''
July 5th I get an answer from them, after a full month of going back and forth: ''We checked your account and have confirmed your access to the community marketplace on theshow.com has been restricted due to unnatural and/or automated behaviors inside the marketplace. As a reminder all marketplace features are also available in-game or on the companion app''
After a full moth somebody finally tells me this is the reason.
It took me 10 days to digest it and replied July 15th (no patience left):'' Please unlock my account on the web. It has been restricted since first week of June. I have not used any unnatural/automated behaviour. You have given me no help besides trading in the game or on the app. I want to use the web like I am supposed to be able to. I have paid almost 150$ for the game in CAD$, I want to be able to use all of the features. I have been patient, it has been more than a month. Please make it work now."
Since then, radio silence. Nothing. So I decided that I would drop it instead of continuing trying when the other side really absolutely does not care. They already have my money. Then, on the last ''push the button'', I realise that I do not get the twitch drop. Infuriated me. Came to post this this morning. Voilà.
If you've read all this thank you for your patience.
unbelievable story mate ! they have lost all sense of decency with respect and communication

MlB The Show Tech support has never been more useless than it has been this year. I don't know if they hired a bunch of new personnel, or if there was a mandate from up above, but you'll receive nothing but useless canned responses and shoulder shrugs.

I think they were probably more useless last year with the duplicate TA cards but there is no excuse this year with those tickets not being 90% of their workload

This is too bad because I am under the impression that my account has been restricted by an ''algorithm'' and not by something I actually did do wrong. Should I have opened less windows or completed my sales order/buy order slower not to be detected by this algorithm? Bans/restrictions should not be made final by an algorithm without having the chance to have it reviewed and lifted quickly.
We talking about algorithm? (had to do it)

Maybe stop creating duplicate tickets?
-
The second ticket was created by SDS themselves as they had moved my original request. Thanks for your input though.

I've been having the same problem for months, i just gave up and started using the app. It's quicker anyway.

They were overwhelmed last year which led to a long time between ticket and response. This year it's more like they're Comcast employees on an episode of South Park.
They get off on being as unhelpful as possible.

Yep. I couldn't agree more.
I know some people from my household that are still forum banned. No explanation. Customer service tickets unanswered. Zero acknowledgement. Yet some people can still post everyday with no consequences or positive contribution to the community.
Oh well.
BTW- My dad says hello to everyone. I'll be sending some folks some DM's before something else happens.

The fact that Hoboadam, Schnauzer, ARVCPA, and a dozen other forum regulars got banned for no reason is absurd. Tell your dad to just sign in with his MLBTheShow account. Trolls have been posting on a daily basis with nothing but crickets from the mods. It's clear they did their best to burn the place to the ground and then skipped town.

Dad's PSN account has many years of helpful and relevant posts. We purposely don't link the PSn, XBOX and Wii accounts. Our household uses all 3 deluxe digital editions.
Back to the bans for a quick second though. You'd think that a mild explanation of what would be deemed "ban worthy" would spark an "okay, I'll do better", instead of a cowardly ban with a conscious effort to not reply to customer service inquiries done through the appropriate channels.
We have a discord of guys from these boards we've had going for 6+ years. Only 2 of us really visit TSN regularly.
We weren't aware of the broad brushed bans handed out. It is absurd and really just sad. If members like the ones you mentioned aren't permitted to use site features due to a TSN ban, what's the point of having these forums.
Banning a user prevents them from accessing game history, user name look ups for records as well DM's to other forum members. Just absolutely mind boggling.
