Just to add, I love playing CPU at the Polo Grounds, have yet to hit it out in CF but Joc has come close hitting the Warning track for a GRD. Realmuto took it for a ride in Left Center last night for a GRD too

Any reason you play at polo grounds? Just curious because I play at a very small created stadium so I can hit bombs and get the no doubter animations.

Very spacious to center field/left or right plus very low walls if you pull the ball, if you can hit one not at a fielder though even Yadier Molina could get a triple. It's just fun seeing the fielders turn and run for days lol, plus there's the challenge of hitting one out to centerfield. Mickey Mantle came closest for me last year coming a few feet short for a GRD.

Outfield this year is also tough because even the top guys have strengths and weaknesses.

    1. HrD Soto- took a bit for me to get him going. But the trade make of a Dominicans hitter is that even if your timing and pci aren't perfect he still crushes the ball.
    2. McCutchen- nothing amazing about him he just has no holes in his game. I keep waiting for the wow factor and I don't have that yet but objectively he is just well rounded.
    3. HrD- Jrod- the guy is super fast and hits bombs but his low vision hurts his longevity. His defense is serviceable but he definitely does not feel like 99 speed on defense. He will hit the bench once I have Griffey.
    4. AS Buxton- speed, defense, power, active quirks. Only missing vision but he still can play.

Other great options were MA Yordan but he is like a lesser Soto, AS Stanton rakes but you better have an amazing defender in CF, I still like LS Trout, Clemente can still be relevant if you don't have the big three yet. MA Carter and Scwarber are solid budget optiions. We have not even seen an upgrade Mantle, Acuna or Trout. So tons of changes yet to come.

With all the new cards that came out I need to think about it but I know for sure Riley Greene has a great swing. Used him in showdown and he was incredible.

I play there when wanting to just do a nine inning game. I don't do mini seasons. I do like playing at Griffith Stadium for mini season,. I just wanna see if someone can hit a homer in CF at the Polo Grounds

    Really good picks.

I definitely agree Yordan is great but Soto is better (don't have him yet). MA Carter? Who is that? Sorry If I'm missing someone obvious. Or do you mean Carpenter? He's got a great bat.

A few really good budget options:
    MA Bryan Reynolds
    FA Garret Mitchell
    HRD Schwarber or Acuna
Takashi Stan Musial- not fast enough but a great bat.
AS 22- Andrew Benintendi- totally plays above hits attributes

Yes, sorry I meant Carpenter. He absolutely rakes but I can't justify playing him over the rest of my starters. Great bench bat with his position flexibility.

Though not my starters I think an outfield of Outman in left, Edmonds in center, and Castellanos in right would be a good balance. Maybe have better defenders in the corners if you need to maintain a lead late in the game.

Outman just has a nice swing. Edmonds has always been a glitch for me. I won't even to pitch to Castellanos if I have a lefty pitching.

Ericulous, you mention budget OF above. That Topps Now Mike Yaz card just hits line drive homers after line drive homers for me.

Yeah, that is a solid card. I really love finding good cards amongst the free program cards. Obviously the McCutchen and JRod cards are gonna be great but there are many diamonds in the rough too.

Not an outfielder, but I just started using that Ryan Mouncastle flashback FS card and he destroys the ball. Those are always fun to find.

Yes, Edmonds was my favorite OF card early on. I had great success with him. Can't wait to get a high diamond for him.
