I’ll tell you a secret. Anyone with a record that good picks a chooses when they play to boost there record and look better than they are. For example the last week of the season when everyone who’s comp has already hit WS the 60-8 crew is out. I’m 19-1…I haven’t played a good player all year outside BR or Events lol.
I’d wager anyone with a 80-90% win rate in RS and less than 80 games has about a 50-60% win rate in events when you play random people good or bad, and not just hand picked opponents stuck in between 500-700 with a week left in the season.
Ego lifting at its finest. Just ask yourself why someone who is 45-5 wouldn’t want to actually make WS every season (way more games needed) and cash in on 150,000 stubs. They stop before they get there so the record stats intact.
This can be true for some, but for example I’m 59-8. I make WS every season, usually about halfway into the season, sell the card and then I move onto other modes to complete programs cause I personally don’t find legend ranked enjoyable. I went undefeated the first and third seasons, but usually I just play the 10-12 games or whatever to get to 900 and then wait till the season is over. Although I am like 5-2 on legend, it’s not fun to me to have to caffeinate and lock in to hit on legend on an old gen console.

A lot of people take it very seriously. Only use god squads, offer friendly quits if their opponent has a good record, play the bare minimum of games to get rewards then wait til the season resets to play easier people. It seems like this game people care about their records way more than other games I’ve played.
I’m 50-11, and can say I honestly never offer friendlys. I’ve accepted a few here and there but I’d say 80% of the time I’m offered one. I am a person who plays limited games to get to ws. My reasoning mainly is I rarely can just chill for 45 mins and play a ranked game. I like my breaks to where i can play mlb to be 20 mins. So I’ll play events a lot or br. I never played FIFA and 2k is mostly my player, but madden if I recall was a lot more team overral that linked match making? Aka you play with a 90 you Match someone 85-95 not ranking.
No... team overall has nothing to do with matchmaking in Madden.
My bad I remembered super bowl games you’d play someone in theirs or whatever but it’s been since idk 2016-2017 since I played. Sold my team and mike Vick for 100 and then the game and never will go back. Ppl here complain about the market here oh boy I don’t miss sniping the madden market

Working the market in Madden is definitely a lot more difficult than The Show and it's due to fierce competition for coins. It gets harder every year and last year was very difficult. I used to snipe, but now I just buy up stuff during market crashes and re-sell the next day for profit, and that seemed to work well last year for me. Working the market here is like basically a Stub printer if you have the time to do it. I've been flipping the same 2 cards for 2k-3k per flip for 3 weeks and they still work today.
The matchmaking in Madden is all based on ELO now and not sure when it changed, but I've been matched with all bronze, silver teams and matched with top 100 players in the same day, so it's definitely all over the place. The matchmaking here is 100% better to find even matches, but this game is so random... does it even matter anymore? I'm pretty good at Madden, but no matter how much I play this game I'm not very good at it. Last year I was just above .500 and this year with more practice I'm below .500 so hopefully I can get it going before I switch back over for the year.

That's by design though... EA doesn't want you to make free coins, so every year they make subtle changes to the market to make it more difficult. They actually started banning people if they do it enough to catch them. SDS just isn't at that level of greed yet... hopefully it stays that way, but it's hard for companies to ignore that EA has made over a billion dollars each of the last 2 years on microtransactions alone. Every company wants that kind of revenue.

Really depends on which beer I'm on. I think my record is 149 - 127 or something. Nothing special. I don't tank or wait for reset. Constantly bouncing between 500 - 700.
-
Just got that one win I needed, and it looks like I have officially been bumped up to All Star. Yikes. In other news, that 97 Babe Ruth was WELL worth both the wait and the effort. 4-4 with a home run, and he ended up a triple shy of the cycle.
8-17 is my record. Like I said, I'm new to all this, and not all that great.
Working on it though.
And I HAVE GOT to do something about my pitching staff.

Yeah I remember I got a jerry rice for 100k or more less than usual and was beyond pumped.
I’m glad I haven’t gone back to that game. If you need gameplay tips here or just practice I’m on whenever -
I’m 495-750 yes I play a lot not a sweat, but I love the game and play maybe 10 gems a day. I’m not good or claim to be but my team is crack when good pitches are served. I have every last player in the game no money spent either I just grinded.

i agree mate - i will never offer friendies - i don't play a ton so i punish the lower levels - i'm 12-1 this year, last year was a great record too , since 17 i rake
So you beat up on the weak? That’s not sportsman like or polished. Where’s the games against comp?

There is nothing more satisfying than beating a guy with a perfect record. Beat someone who was 18-0 today. Im only 44-27 so its not like I am a powerhouse. He just happened to get killed in two innings in the middle of the game. Had a change to mercy the game, but choked.

I like this game, but I can't hit very well online. I actually haven't played a RS game in a couple months after starting this year with a losing record. I think I'm like 7-15 or something like that and at one point I was 0-8 or maybe even worse than that to start, I don't really remember. My team is way better now and probably will get back into some RS again pretty soon. -
Better than many of you.

Flipping is still king. They only really killed investing. And all those things even out because of availability anyway. You are getting 8-10k free stubs instead of 5k on duplicate program rewards, which have been given out in programs following theirs. The rewind packs make all event rewards the same price instead of needing 250k for asdrubal cabrera or 1 mil for the Trea turner onwards event rewards(I placed a Vlad Jr finest order at the end of February for 1 mil stubs in 21 and it is still not filled). The total number of packs has really been more or less the same. The end of program add on packs have evened out what team affinity gave. The only difference is lack of LS diamond choice packs, which the headliner choice pack in mini seasons has somewhat filled in for

I’m no prize. But over the years I’m probably sitting at a .600-.650 win percentage. I see a lot of feedback here of people saying they are 40-10, 45-8 and so on. Are you guys really that good? And if so why aren’t you streaming? And if not, what is your shtick? Base hits? Home runs? Pitching? I’d love to know what the play is to be that good
I'm 50-13 and just cracked Championship series at 819. I do well in Allstar, but once I get to HOF levels I'm probably a bit better than .500. My goal is to hit WS, but just don't have the time.
