why is it that people who dont use zone hitting get such an advantage on perfect perfect.

    Who are these peopke??

If they use those options there’s no pci which literally means you dont have to track the pitch. So what is perfect perfect? Its only perfect. If you time it right you get a perfect perfect result. Look at the ball come off the bat. The results are different. im also here to explain it amongst the community. Everyone has their own opinions of what is best. Im just trying to get my two cents heard.

Have you tried the other hitting options ?

Going no zone you’re at the mercy of I don’t know what; even if you time it good the AI PCI is nowhere near. I tried it to just work on tracking pitches and adjusted to speeds. It’s not rewarding at all and frustrating that it’s random.

I tried directional...there is no advantage...just as bad as zone...get good timing and still miss...never tried analog

Directional hitting all day everyday because it feels like you’re really batting, like you’re in the box .... I can’t stand lining something up to hit, that’s arcade stuff ...

This is the worst the game has played. First off I asked the question on livestream to RAMONE. Dude isn’t anything but a liar. I’m pissed off.

Here it is. Speed up hitting. Make zones smaller. Bet. I enjoy that part. Perfect. Makes it way harder to hit. Plus strikeouts is fun. But why is it that people who dont use zone hitting get such an advantage on perfect perfect. Zone hitting is Good, Okay. Good, good. And you know what those end up as? Lazy flyballs to the outfield. Squared up zone hitting is garbage. No reward.

You say the same stuff every year. I dont care what it is but if you ever want a competitive scene make online hitting universal. Make it all pure analog, directional or zone. Select one of those.

I personally prefer zone because that takes skill. But at this point in the game if you use zone your a chump and at a significant disadvantage. Tell me Im wrong and your a liar.

I dont mind catching L’s to someone who is better than me. I enjoy playing someone who is good competition. What i dont enjoy is striking out teams 15 times a game and giving up only solo bombs. And I cant put runs together because good good isnt good enough.

Im going to keep playing because i dont have anything better to do. But you all really lost a seriously dedicated and competitive player tonight man. Started to lose its touch in 17 and all the bells and whistles up overloading content when all the consumers really want is a working game.

It isn’t all terrible. Ive enjoyed some of the little things you all fixed. But at this point I dont trust any of you. If you want to contact me please feel free to message me on PSN. I will give you insight on all of the little things I feel is wrong. Who am I and why do you think you should care what I think?
Im a valued customer who supports you year in and year out. Someone needs to contact me personally.

Yeah man, I sure felt a disadvantage using zone as I made it to WS, and every single person I know that makes WS uses zone, I wouldn't be surprised if 95% WS players use zone.
Guess If I'm a WS player on zone, I'd be close to the best player in the game if I used directional

If people who complained about it actually used it for an extended period, they'd realize how much better zone is.

Also I laughed at this "Im going to keep playing because i dont have anything better to do. But you all really lost a seriously dedicated and competitive player tonight man."

You lost a dedicated player, even though he's still going to play because he literally said so one sentence earlier.

OP thinks Ramone is going to call him personally to discuss his opinion on the state of the game. “Someone needs to contact me”. Yeah right. I’m sure they have nothing else to be doing other than contacting individual customers to debate the nuances of zone vs analog flick when hitting. Get real.

With zone hitting you can square up a fastball and get perfect perfect and it can still be an out ... Because it's baseball. Also with zone hitting you can hit a low pitch and get great results. With directional the pitch can be right down the middle and you swing good.. aka perfect timing.. and you pop it up. That happened to me multiple times when I feel I'm not seeing the ball well so switch to directional for a inning or so to track the ball better. I've played guys in BR that literally can hit anything in the zone and get great rewards for being so good at hitting. So I don't really understand your complaint. If you read the forums A LOT of people are having a hard time this year compared to years previous. But if the basis of your complaint here is that zone hitters are at a disadvantage than that's ludacris. What's your fantasy?

This is always what irritates me about most of these complaint threads. "I hit perfect perfect and it went right to the outfielder for an out." or "I had an exit velocity of 109 and it gets caught WTF!".

Yeah, that's the point of baseball. There are 9 guys in the field trying to defend against your hitting. The best hitters only get hits 30-33% of the time. More times than not, those are going to be hits but not always. The only thing you have complete control over is hitting it over the fence.

No. all you gotta do is swing the bat and if you’re timing is good the rest will take care of itself.

I see this argument a lot....The best hitters only get hits 30-33% of the time...you can't use this argument because you are hitting with an entire team...not an individual player

I was not using that to complain.. I was basically stating what you both are saying which is it's baseball and just because you hit the ball hard doesn't always turn into a hit. The people that complain about perfect perfect turning into an out are probably the same people that complain when their running back fumbles who has 99 carry. -_-
