It doesn’t, it just rewards bad input far too often. We understand that there is randonmess in baseball, there are bloop hits, unlucky ball bounces and all that… but this is a videogame and input should matter a little bit more.
For starters pitcher’s confidence shouldn’t be included in the hitting outcomes equation, if your confidence is up and you threw an absolute dot, if I was good enough to put pci on the ball then don’t punish me.
Have you ever played real baseball? Confidence is key. I think currently hitting and pitching is pretty balanced.
Also this is a video game. If you want to be perfectly realistic go play on a real diamond. It's the BEST video game of baseball we have and I think SDS has done a fine job.
It's not perfect but it's fun. That's all I care about.
Stop complaining about it and try to enjoy life.
I have played baseball and even pitches, high confidence never allowed me to hang a slider watch it get squared up and turn into a lazy fly ball

They need the casuals that are spending real money to feel like theyre getting their money's worth. So instead of feeding the casuals to the more serious players on a platter, they just upped the RNG so that the casuals have a better shot with their Money Spent team.
If it's going to head in that direction, then the game needs to stop being $70 every year or make Diamond Dynasty it's completely own seperate free to play game where the more hardcore players wont feel cheated.

My obsession with the MLB forces me to play too which I hate. There is no reason on earth that my opponents should have 4-7 extra opportunities from foul balls when they swing at every single pitch in the dirt. 100 percent built for casuals you are dead on!

We've seen this happening in front of our eyes for years now. It's a toxic monopoly they have over MLB rights coupled with the cash cow that is Diamond Dynasty aka a "Gacha" game. They can now cater to the people that have money and feel happiness over spending real life money on a virtual item.
This was bound to get more and more casual.
I knew this game was toast when they included free swinging switch and xbox users. Just give us a competitive mode free of RNG and DDA. Its not to much to ask. Its 2018 all over again!

LMAO… because it’s a video game is why we complain, good input should be rewarded more, I felt the same way about the game when I was new, it felt fun and balanced, then I got better and started to see why ppl were frustrated with the bs hits and lineouts. You’ll get there eventually.

If you enjoy the game, adapt and accept it for what it is. You shouldn't play if your not having fun... that's why we get paid to work, because it's not fun all the time. If my chips get stuck... I shake the machine until they fall out and sometimes even get an extra bag... adapt.

If you enjoy the game, adapt and accept it for what it is. You shouldn't play if your not having fun... that's why we get paid to work, because it's not fun all the time. If my chips get stuck... I shake the machine until they fall out and sometimes even get an extra bag... adapt.
I agree with you and I do very much enjoy the game. But when the core game mechanic is broken in a competitive setting people will complain. Also, shaking a vending machine is against the law.
