Customization is dead, along with the game
-
The fact that they went to all the trouble to put in a Stadium Creator and Stadium Assignment option, but not include the Stadium Assignment option on PS4 even without Custom Stadiums, just shows SDS has completely lost it’s way. They are too focused on DD and money to be considered a good-faith baseball game creator anymore.
The fact that they cite agreements about music as to why there is no Sounds of the Show, but still kept the function for PS4 where the ultimate customization addition (Stadium Creator) doesn’t exist, just shows how little they know about what the gamer actually wants when it comes to customization.
It’s quite embarrassing. And the lack of Year to Year saves is a slap in the face to the Roster creating community, another aspect of customization they’ve killed or made defunct.
In addition, whatever happened to the player lock Game Watch options like result play? It used to be fun to actually watch every play in the field and the dugout, like MLB.Tv Condensed Games.
These dudes at SDS don’t deserve any of our money until they re-instate what made the game great for those who actually enjoy baseball simulation and aren’t just teens obsessed with pulling Diamond dynasty cards.

The flat out said that the older consoles did not have the needed horsepower to handle created stadiums.
I am disappointed about sounds of the show but instead of being upset about it not being on the newer consoles maybe we should be happy they kept that legacy feature on the PS4 instead of removing it everywhere in the name of feature parity.
No year to year saves is truly a bad deal for all gamers. It ain't coming back to RTTS but I think it should be brought back to franchise.
I have no opinion on the Game watch options. I don't normally play Franchise so I don't use them.

Oh I’m fine with no Stadium Creator on PS4, but the Stadium Assignment option for the stadiums in the game should be there, literally no reason that it’s not other than just laziness at SDS.

Let's not pretend that stadium creator doesnt need a ton of fine tuning and upgrades. It's actually pretty trash, the seating prefabs dont match the field pre fabs, especially behind home plate, the "no go" zones especially around the batter's eye are WAY too big(there really shouldn't be any dead zones). You can't attach anything to the batter's eye at all which removes the seamless design, you can't adjust foul territory

The 2022 Stadium Creator is a big improvement over 2021. Everything is a work in progress, so I have no doubt they'll update it again for next year. But I thought last year's was unworkable. I've made a couple of stadiums this year I've used often (Empire State Stadium, Golden Gate Stadium). SC is fun for me this year.
And why criticize the WHOLE game for one feature of it? That's just silly.

If they aren't going to allow year to year saves, they should allow year to year roster saves. Missing that feature has killed the classic roster people. Starting from scratch every year is way too much work.
