Hardest position to get called up to triple a?
-
Currently in Double A On RTTS what is the hardest position to get called up on I'm currently playing 2B right now and one game away from the all star game and still haven't been called up or even heard from my agent so I was wondering which was the hardest position to get to the next level normally I play as a CP and I would be in Triple A by now.

I just got called up to Triple A and play LF. When I got there, they wanted me to switch to 1B, I said no, and I was traded to Miami and put back to Double A. I was then called back up to Triple A. It was right after the Double A All Star Game. I only heard from my Agent probably the week before.

they vary ihave a 2b ive started 2 careers with one took 2 season to make the mlb after getting cslled to triple A right sfter sll stsr break year 1.. My second time around he was already a higher overall because they can carry over this year and he made the MLB in august.. However i play rtts on rookie just to make him elite fast and get back to diamond dynasty rtts is to repetitive/boring for me

I believe it has to do with what Team you were drafted to & who is the starting MLB player for that team. So lets say I was drafted by the Mets & I chose play 1B or SS. I would need to preform at a level in AA & AAA that puts me on pace to pass either Alonso or Lindor in OVR & across several Attributes. However If I chose to be a C, then getting called up would be easier because I have to be on pace to surpass McCann.

I'm a 2-way SP/SS with Toronto. Bo Bichette is in Toronto, so I figured it would be hard to get called up. Went from AA to AAA just after the AA All-Star game. Spent 94 AB in AAA (near the end of August) and got called up to Toronto. Granted, I simmed most of my AAA time, but called up to Toronto with a little more than a month to go in the season.

IMO, Its really about the team your on and who they have in front of you at that position.

While your team has a lot to do with it, the most important thing is OVR. It is usually easiest to get called up as a SP and hardest to get called up as CP. I haven't done a pitcher with the Mets or Dodgers, but it should be possible to a Control-Velocity pitcher up to mid 70s by the end of July. Control-Break and Velocity-Control go up reasonably quickly. If you're a Power-Contact 1st baseman, in my opinion, the ovr goes up more quickly.
Teams have their stars and those stars may supersede you even if you are higher. That's when they will trade you or have you switch positions. If you're a CF on a team with a mid to low 80s CF you might be able to stay a CF at CF. If you are on the Angels, there is no chance of being a CF there. I've also been traded or asked to switch positions for playing the same position as players in their mid to high 80s.
All that being said, some positions are more fun to play. I like CP more than SP, but it's harder to move up. Same with SS and OF. If you're only planning on hitting you still have to pick archetypes that go with your position though. You will not get very far as a SS with Power-Contact no matter if it's bronze or diamond.
Try different things. The worst thing that could happen is you delete the player and start over. The archetype earned will still be there.
