I played High Heat on PC. Very underrated game. Hardball before that. I still have its theme song stuck in my head.

Yeah, HH for PC was best baseball game in the PSX era, and not even close. HH was on ps2, and was good but was still no where as great as PC version, which is how MVP was able to be best of that Gen. Although I still prefer ASB.

And yes PS2 still holds up, especially for NCAA Football. Ps2>Ps3 for that game.

RBI baseball on the NES. That’s the best ball game ever

Ken Griffey Baseball on the N64 is still the benchmark against which all sports games are measured.

8 team fantasy draft made for great couch play tournaments amongst friends.

Griffey Baseball was great. I’ll put Mike Piazza Strike Zone down as the worst sports, no, video game I’ve ever played.

Did you play HH on PC before it was on PS2? There was just so much more that you can do on PC than you could on PS2 back then. Along with the great game play, the one thing the PS2 version got right.

Maybe my age is showing here but Front Page Sports Baseball Pro 98 was my game of choice back in the day. Sierra Online used to make some of the best games...oh the memories!

Speaking of showing one's age, what was the name of the 1980s arcade game you played against the computer that had a track ball on it? It always said "out of here, change sides!"

Never played that one. As far as age goes. I grew up on Atari and NES.

But yes I miss those days, basically from NES to PS2. Back then we had at least a half dozen baseball games to choose from, each were good in thier own way and it really came down to preference.

I didn't on PC but I assume it was the same game. The game play is still fun as we fired up the ps2 a few weeks back.

Yeah, if I had never played the PC version, I'd probably agree it was the best, but by the time the ps2 version came out I was pissed at its limitations compared to the PC version. But no denying how good the game play was even on ps2.
