Yeah. I do. I like good free players, stubs and packs.
I like those things too, I just don't like the arrangement of the program that you have to navigate to get them.
Fair enough.

They just make little sense to me. The only explanation I can com up with is that they simply wanted to prolong the programs.
Assuming you just play them straight and do not buy cards.....
- Why are 4 of the under cards harder to earn than the boss?
- Why must we earn one player and then reach a PXP level with them before we get the next?
- Has anyone actually used the final card you earn in either program. Assuming you did not buy cards, the moment you earn the final card the program is already over and there is nothing to do with that card.
In the end I guess I just am a little annoyed at how much time I have spent playing games with players from the program while my main squad sits idle. I am a little annoyed that Martin Perez is my highest paralleled player. That was never my intention.
I have a squad full of Rockies for their Nike City program but I would really like to use my main squad now because in a week or so I will need to start replacing them with the newest Topps Now and POTM cards.
None of this may be an issue for those who invest a lot of hours but when you don't play a lot these POTM programs can begin to feel all encompassing.
On #3. I have used all the lightning cards I've earned. They've been fun at times. I just wish Rizzo and France had better speed.

Well Rizzo was the lightning card.
I am just talking about the card you earned from the very last no sell pack in the program rewards. Maybe I am wrong but it seems logical for me that the last player selected in the whole program is one you passed on every other time you had a chance to choose from that level so therefore it is probably card you are least interested in.
"Here, use this lightning card POTM to earn enough PXP so that you can finally get that card that you have already passed on several times before".
-
I’ve been a little underwhelmed with the structuring but at least the cards are pretty good. POTM Rizzo is one of my faves to use.
-
Alonso is my starting 1B and Altuve card just rakes
-
It used to be that you had to actually pay for these cards, so I’m fine with the grinding..
-
This is the first year I’m not doing all the programs. Way too much grinding.
-
I think the last few levels are just card packs. I'd you can't finish it just play it to a level reward you are comfortable with. That's what I did last year.
-
I could see the gripe if they only gave you X amount of time to grind....but the programs never go away and IMO they really arent that hard or time consuming. Find ways to kill many birds with one stone and it all works itself out.

I moved back to franchise, getting my XP there (will probably finish the East Conquest map on the last night of this program; maybe) and haven't started the Topps Now moments; and the moments are starting to pile up.
If I can't find the fun again playing offline with real MLB players, then I'm done with this game. I think 19's setup was the best balance we had. 20 wasn't half bad except for the blood diamonds and 21 was too much. They scaled back this year, but POTM are way too long for the reward.
Thinking you're both right and I'm burnt out. Played the heck out of Shredder's Revenge the last 10 days, and my wife was like "Finally!! you're having fun gaming!"
I ended up biting on PS+ premium. The selection of games is pretty solid for just launching the service
I'm waiting to get my hands on a PS5; now that my son (11) games quite a bit, I have to manage the space on the HDD every time I want to add a game. FF7 Rebirth's release is the deadline to get an overpriced one from a sclaper if I can't get one through regular channels until then.
Yeah some games just take a ridiculous amount of storage space these days. Literally the only reason I stopped playing COD is because the updates are like 50GB anymore
UPDATE: just ordered a PS5 through Walmart Canada. Should be here July 5th; 3 weeks before my 3-weeks vacation
Update 2: they cancelled my order; probably oversold. JFC
Check Amazon, that's where I bought mine

I like the program as it gives a chance for fans of teams that maybe not big market or contending for high rated players. Not digging the way they set it up this year though, almost forces you to "rent" players to finish them quickly.
-
There are several things about this year I'm not loving but so far, I have enjoyed the Monthly programs. I get where you're coming from for sure. Personally, I rent the players and make a little profit on the backend so it doesn't feel as challenging to me. The payoff ends up being selling the final 4 rental cards when you get to collect them for free. You're right, the prize doesn't really feel climactic as you earn the main card and then the 4 repeats. But like I said, I buy them off the tip and so it's basically a payback on my investment.
Plus I really like having to use the cards as it gives you a reason to try all these cards out. I probably wouldn't have used much of Varsho or Altuve, now I love their cards.
Lastly, I think the Lightning Legend/Flashback is a nice touch. Really looking forward to Sale.
