What makes Trout so good?
-
I have never used Trout much more than a few games in the few years I've been playing the game. This year I've been using him for a while... and wow, he is better than any hitter I've ever used in this game. It seems like he gets a double or home run every other AB. My question is where his attributes aren't better than everybody else... what makes his LS so good? I have at least 10 cards that have better hitting stats than him, but none play like him. Is the card just juiced because it's so expensive or is it the swing is that good?

Quirks are my guess.
Usually it's the swing of the card that is the biggest reason for whether a card play above or below their ratings but with this card I truly believe it's the quirks that make the difference.

Quirks, reverse split attributes, and that swing with the high stride.
-
I figured the quirks had something to do with it. Yeah... best hitter I've ever used in the game. I always knew he was good by reading the forums... but had no idea he was this good. I wish I had gotten him sooner.

I am definitely on a kick right now where I think Live Quirks matter way more than I have realized. I made an all LS team for Mini Seasons last week and was scoring way more runs than I normally do with a God Squad in mini seasons. I also feel like I always hit way better than I expect to in Events with my LS players. I think I am going to play around with an all LS team for ranked later this week when I get back home just to see and have a comparison. Vision is something I really value in comparison to a lot of people, but with LS I feel that it almost doesn’t matter and I assume this is the Live Quirks in action.

I agree with this... I hit great with any of the LS cards. Acuna, Tatis, Xander and Trout especially.

I would say that it depends on if you're cooking it on a grill or frying it in a pan. I usually grill mine.

Honestly, Trout is so good when a splash of lemon is added and some basil is sprinkled on top
-
its the quirks.. Gives him exit elo boost in nearly any situation.
-
I would think the 48 vision on HOF/Legend would be a big issue. Am I wrong?

high class my dude, put a dollop of butter and bob's your uncle

Undoubtedly live quirks. Any card that has active quirks will out play a better stated card that does not. That is what keeps live series relevant and lighting and finest series so good. Even some face of the Franchise 90 overall play better than the new guys release. What makes Trout amazing is that is has the quirks and the stats.

I don't have his LS yet, but his FOTF is unbelievable.

I don't hit good with Turner. I wish I did though... I like Turner irl

Trea Turner was the best SS in the game before SDS nuked his rating and refuse to correct it even though the guy is batting like .315. Manny Machado is the player right now who is the most undervalued player in the game atm. Machados live series card is probably the best SS in the game rn and nobody uses him.

I cant time his swing very well which is unfortunate.
