I can say that while Showdown plays a bit harder then the difficulty states, it is not impossible. But I only did the starter and 1st inning, my issue is it’s not enjoyable. For me when I’m choosing an offline mode, I want to be chillen not stressing, that’s what RS is for lol

I see a lot comparing it to the moments which is fine in and of itself. I think the difference is I can fail a moment a thousand times and just keep trying. The moment they introduced paying Stubs to play I knew it was gonna be dumb

You’re one of those “my controller is broken!” kinda guys when you lose to your friends, aren’t you?

Anyone who’s complaining, needs to really analyze how they are playing this game.

That may be the funniest SDS fan-boy post ever. Here is the proper structure of that sentence.:

Everyone who's complaining, needs to really analyze how THE GAME IS PLAYING THEM.

    Also it needs better rewards.

A silver pack for beating a mini boss?

    What?

It was a full pack and all your stubs back, but people were exploiting it for free packs, so they nerfed it

    Understood.But why nerf the stubs?

We get 500 now and we used to get 700

It used to be that if you beat the blue moments up until the the first mini boss, plus the mini boss, you would get 1000 stubs and a pack. So people were playing up to there and quitting over and over just to get a free pack every 5 minutes.

Ok remove the pack and leave the stubs

I can complete them fairly easily, even did a few from 0-15 with no boosts, that doesn’t mean it isn’t cheating, it’s OBVIOUSLY cheating and any non WS player is still getting cheated out of rewards all over the place.

There’s ton of examples but this is just nonsense.

People that don’t swing as consistently as me can’t have these types of things happen, when they earn runs they should earn the runs. Period. You already cap the level and consistency of exit velocity we get, ripping back homeruns when we finally do land the dice roll on good exit velocity is pretty laughable.

    What the hell SDS?

    Seriously?

How long do we have to play this cheating mode until you patch it and make it balanced?

I just lost to Degrom in NL East final Showdown scoring only 3 runs.I hit into 4 bases loaded double plays on pitching up in the zone.

I hit into more double plays in Showdown than I have in RS in the last 4 years.

But the WORST part of Showdown is a cheating pitching AI.

NOBODY I repeat NOBODY can paint corners on the dots over and over and over and over again all Showdown long.

This never happens in Conquest,Play VS CPU,RS,BR ect....

It ONLY happens in Showdown. It's not that it's difficult it's that is rigged against me.

I have beaten every Showdowns multiple times but I always feel like I am playing against an invisible force that rigged the game against me.I can't just be skilled at the game,I have to be lucky and pray the game let's me win sometimes.

Degrom wouldn't walk him today.I had twelve 3-2 counts and he threw a perfect change up or a silder on the dot to strike me out.Nobody can do that.

Fix this mode.Screw it remove it if you can't fix it.But I am being charged 1000 stubs to play a mode that is clearly rigged against the player.Mind you it's beatable but it's not only up to you.

showdown is dumb. I quit a long time ago

Lay off the low pitches, man. Less double plays that way, promise.

Another example, I'm playing the second or third blue square on the al central showdown. Mission is to get 3 hits in two innings. First inning I get a triple and a single. So second inning I only need a hit. Sounds easy enough, right? Well no, first batter hits a wall scraper for an out, second batter hits a perfect liner right at the third baseman. The pitcher then proceeds to walk the next two batters on 9 pitches and finishes off with a weak fly out on good contact.

Not sure what I'm supposed to do at that point.

Once you get close, down by one or tied, runners on, the cpu pitchers get VERY stingy. They can have thrown 60+ pitches and will still dot the corners. Sometimes I just have to put the controller down.

    Undoubtedly, a true statement.

But, another observation so believe it or not, the AI will often "FORCE" the double-play or through-animation generation make it look like, on the PCI, you made contact on a low pitch. Or, it just won't throw anything hittable other than low pitches and you strike out. Which is worse?

Showdown is challenging enough that it is fun, I lose 20 percent of the time and most of it is because I was swinging at dumb stuff, but sometimes it feels like it nerfs your bat. All you have to do is sit on your pitch and wait. They normally throw one up every at bat, so I just wait for the high pitch and hammer it. Sometimes I miss and it’s a pop, sometimes I hit it right at the fielder or a common fielder does his best andruw Jones impression , but most of the time I still win the showdown bc some of the hits will work

Double plays have been extreme in this game since like MLB 08. Pitchers will constantly be trying to induce them (as they should)

I beat AL Central Showdown 5 times today and I always felt CPU is one step away from taking it away from me

I don’t know man I grinded showdown hard last night AL west for Ohtani and went 2 for 3, the 2nd play through my odds were against me as I needed a jack with 1 out left against Ohtani got it with Mitch Haniger. I also went against Verlander needing 7 runs.. was about down to 10 outs and the runs came easily after taking a few walks. It’s like it was giving me the edge. Sale as mid boss AL East I might see an arguement. I had no problems with Degrom
