What I learned from the Angel's City Connect Program...

Trout, Glause, MA Ward, and any version of Ohtani are really the only viable Angels.
-
Trout seems the same for me. Still my favorite CF. Ohtani I am never good with.

Detmers, Percival, Nolan Ryan all serviceable pitchers.
Tim Salmon, Tori Hunter and gold Jim Edmonds if you wanna dig into the toolbox for offline grind.
It doesn't take much to finish.

I suck with an Angels theme team and that LS Mike Trout will probably be leaving my main squad early this year (I nearly have him at P5)!
It was super easy. I completed it in an hour

Just run angel pitchers and fof trout. In 3 inning games the pitchers will nab you 250+ pxp by themselves. Play a 9 inning game and they’ll bag 650+ and your done in 2 games.
-
I made a lineup of all angels: Topps Mays and Ohtani were the only diamonds in the lineup. Pitched weaver. Played the Rockies on veteran in a Play Now game
Scored 7 runs on about 15 hits. And the Angel PXP missions were complete.
-
Pitching is the key to any team PXP missions. Simple.
Plus that Taylor Ward MA card is great.

I didn't say the program was difficult or that it was much of a grind. I mentioned that I suck with the Angels because I could only score 10 runs against CPU Rookie Rockies! Every other "theme team" I built to knock out the PXP needed for the program, the one game vs CPU Rookie Rockies was still produced 30-45 runs in a single game. That one game with Angels still did good enough with the PXP to get what I needed, but it was a dismal showing of the bats in Denver!
-
I started to put my bronze Angles in MS for the hits.. played 1 gm it wasn't for me. Ward, Edmonds, Ohtani, Salmon, Trout & Marsh should get it done on/offline
-
They key for PXP is Coors field vs. Rockies on Vet - if you aren't scoring 18+ a 9 inning game your doing something wrong.

Or because Angels players suck? Maybe? Hell, I've scored 30-40 runs with the crappy cards that were available for the Rockies during that program!
-
I don't understand how scoring 10 runs sucks. Even on rookie, the CPU can get you out if you are impatient or "just miss" it. Plus try playing against another team.
-
Are you hitting with PCI? Timing?
-
I use zone (PCI) hitting. I have been using it for years and am good with placement, especially with the slower pitch speeds at the lower levels of vs CPU games.
-
Tim Salmon hits really well for me.
So does MA Ward, but I already had him at level 5
