    Little man, big power.

He doesnt even use the Crawford boxes. Most his HR's are legit 400ft+. Dont know where it comes from. He could probably take Alonzo in arm wrestling. 😆 😆

Well he uses a buzzer that tells him what pitch is coming. That makes a huge difference.

Haha I knew this comment was coming sooner or later.

Well that is the thing about reputations. Hard to build and easy to destroy.

What’s wrong with the rep in Houston? Just because a bunch of allstars left and the best they’ve brought in since a WS ring is Ryne Stanek doesn’t mean the entire league is laughing at them and choosing to play literally anywhere else besides Houston. Aledmys Diaz for example, HUGE resigning. Everybody was after the 3 million dollar man.

What have the Yankees brought in?

4-5 full roster turnovers and no WS.

Basing success about who signs as a FA? Yep. Yankee fan. Maybe LA.

BTW, 4 of the last 5 ALCS appearances. Yeah, we must suck.

Umm, you mean 5 straight alcs. Winning 3 pennants

Plus to add to the guy above. Pressly has been brought in. Brantley came in after and keeps resigning. Verlander resigned. Young players signing for less when they could have waited out there rookie contracts at hit big with another team like Bregman and just now Alvarez. That whole sign stealing thing wasn't an Astro thing. It was a player thing. Beltran and Cora manipulating young players to follow their lead. Now they are gone. And the guys that left, Marisnik, Marwin Gonzalez, Springer and Correa, were all linked to the cheating scandal and wanted a change of scenery hoping people would forget I am sure.

They also have to keep the OVRs consistent. They're trying to have accurate representations of output in May, while also having the rating be exactly 93 or 94 or whatever they all are.

I've been a fan of Houston for many years. I guess 1986 was my first season I can really remember from start to finish. I turned 9 that summer. What a fun season season. Unfortunately little did I know I was about to endure many many years of not just the Astros but also the Oilers choking like they just hit a gravity bong lit a Marlboro Red. Also to whom

Ahh, the early 90's Oilers broke my heart. Luckily the Rockets were there to pick it up.

No offense dude but have you seen Alonso hit? Did you see the HR derbys or the 53 HRs that Polar Pete hit? In 12 years Altuve has hit 175, in 4 Alonso has hit 122. Not to mention the distances of the shots Alonso hits.... I love Altuve but from a pure power standpoint he's not even close to Alonso. I could see giving him a much bigger PCI , that would make sense ....but pure power when a ball is squared up? Alonso should easily be +10 over Altuve if not more

It's a player of THE MONTH, not player of current body of work.

9 HR, 13 RBI for Altuve
9 HR, 30 RBI for Pete

Don't split hairs on this. Attributes make sense based on their performances in May of 2022.

I was just responding to the post comparing the 2 players which was NOT about simply the month. It was comparing both players in general. As far as the month, they both hit 9 HRs so the power should probably be equal but Alonso has higher stats vs lefties so it washes out. However, the clutch attribute....Alonso had more than double the RBIs of Altuve and his clutch was 112 while Altuve's was 106....not far behind....so that's not indicative of just the month of May.

Dude's also taken multiple pitches to the dome this year.

Didn't work, so now they have to try to break his hand...

Altuve bats leadoff... Pete bats 3rd or 4th. Big difference in runners on base, scoring position etc...

Personally, leading off a game with a HR is clutch too. Hehe

Based on $$$ alone, the Dodgers and Yankees should be in the World Series every year. Sub par organizations that don't have any idea of the value of a dollar in my opinion.

This is the correct answer. Yankees are constantly overpaying for talent that doesn't produce on the field.

Do you take the less attractive hooker that knows how to suck a [censored] or the more attractive one that rakes her teeth? The Yankees take the expensive attractive one.

I know this is supposed to be May POTM cards but have you seen what Alonso does to the ball in the HR derby IRL? C'mon. Dude should have massive power numbers.
