Any Legends that you miss and hope they bring back?
-
For me, I really miss Hanley Ramirez and Carlos Beltran.
I almost always had that Impact Veteran Hanley or his Sig Series in my lineup or at least on my bench. He was always so clutch for me. His numbers would never be insane or anything but he came up with so many timely hits -- just such a fun card to use I remember. He's someone who immediately stands out for me.
I think the last time we had Beltran in the game was The Show 17, if I'm not mistaken and SDS released a Post-Season series card of his in the Ticket Store (the OGs will remember the Ticket Store) that was a 99 overall. I remember seeing it in just about everyone's lineup and he was often cited as the best hitter in the game and it was a pretty universally agreed upon.
Anyone else you guys have fond memories of that is no longer in the game?

Technically those 2 were never legends as far as this game is concerned, as they were both active players the last time they were in, but two solid choices either way. Ty cobb for me though

Did Hanley play in 2020?

No but he didn't officially retire until after the game's rosters were final, so like Ryan zimmerman this year

TY COBB (mic drop...)
-
Ty Cobb, Ted Williams, David Wright, Carlos Beltran, Phil Neikro.
-
Phil Niekro just so I can watch the community burn lol
-
Ty Cobb, I have not found card that has replaced what he did, lead off hitter with 99 speed and would just hit hrs... I always laughed when people bunted with him. Because it was such a waste.

Stan Musial

I would add Rogers Hornsby to that list.

Stan Musial will be in the game later, I would almost bet on it

Niekro was a chump compared to Luis Tiant that year, at least in my opinion.

I can't believe I forgot Ichiro Suzuki.
If I could pick one Legend to come back, it would be him. The meta of The Show 22 be damned.
-
An obscure one but Aaron Hill, he was in 2018 and only got an 81 gold as a Jay, now with different style cards he could get a nice Diamond to use

I'd pay to get taint in the game just to hear taint being mentioned in a video game.
Yes, I'm 12.

May as well bring Niekro back can't get the sinker right and give it to everyone and their brother, may as well have a knuckleball too

Ty Cobb, the best Tigers card by miles.
Also Ichiro.
-
As the OP said, Carlos Beltran. That card was a monster.
Edit: Also Tim Lincecum. His cards were filthy.

Cobb, Hornsby, ted Williams, I guess Musial if it’s true that’s he’s gone, and anyone who played in the 50s or earlier. And I think mark buerhle was only in the game for the one year, which kinda blows.
I think I’ve read that Carlton Fisk was in the game several years back. Aside from Josh Gibson, Fisk is my most wanted legend.
EDIT: I also really miss Hanley. I think it was 19 or 20 when his SS was one of my best cards of the whole year. He couldn’t stop hitting nukes if he wanted to.
