That’s true I didn’t even think about that

I have been preaching/complaining about it for several years now. Pitchers live and die on their k/9 rating. It is his weakest rating on the card. Skubal had the higher K/9 rating in may so he got the 93 card. Even then I would argue that they purposely nerfed Skubal's k/9 rating to keep his overall where they wanted.

I do they crank the stamina up to boost there ratings?

Well, his k/9 rating in May was not outstanding.
Adam Wainwright has a k/9 this season of 6.5 and has a 56 in his k/9 attribute in the game.
Perez, for the month of May, struck out 7.02 per 9 and and has a 69 k/9 attribute.
Skubal struck out 10.6 batters per 9 and they only gave him a k/9 attribute of 75 for his POTM card.So Perez in May was a .5 strikeouts better than Wainwrights season number but is 13 attribute points higher. Skubal was 3.5 strikeouts better than Perez in May and is only 6 attribute points better. Sounds like Skubal was done dirty more.
The game/SDS does not know how to quantify pitchers who get the job done by inducing soft/weak contact. They rely to heavily on K/9.
