Brett is my favorite player of all time. However, I'm not even close to unlocking this. So this is a nice consolation.
I was actually going to give Frank another try at 1st and put Delgado in LF and Ruth in RF (because I don't care if I lose a RS game). I do get frustrated if I am not getting rewarded but if Delgado doesn't make a play because I put him in LF, I am good with that. With Devers though, he goes to 3rd and Pujols to LF and Delgado at 1st so Frank is out.
I also love Brett and his sweet swing , although the cost is way too high so I made a decision I will not do collections this year and just focus on programs. Maybe Ill complete the live series late when the cards are affordable. Last year I flipped often so I was able to do all the collections, this year its mind numbing and not worth the time to me.

Let’s also be fair, there will be 3 topps now cards, and 5 or 6 player of the month cards, I’d be shocked if Goldy wasn’t one of them. Not the topps now but the player of the moth cards so you’ll still get a 93 Goldy

Congrats to Devers and those who wanted him to win, although I am confused. I knew Goldschmidt was out since he was just given a 91 overall card. But Devers has a 90 overall card so I don't see a a lot of difference there why one would get lightning and the other would get passed over.
Devers had a great may though so at least it is not another Rizzo situation.
The Rizzo situation is why it isn't goldy, not the 91 card that was pre planned in January imo
Could be. We'll see how the rest of the cards in the program look but this is the second month in a row that they have ignored the actual batters and pitchers of the month in MLB to give it to someone else.
I think if you go back and look through the lighting cards it's and even split of players that were and were not the actual player/pitcher of the month vs SDS own pick

It's weird hiw I never even tried the Devers FOTF card.

Maybe it's because we couldn't get them all for free. Maybe.Same here. My infield when using FOTF cards was Bell, Jazz, Lindor and Seager so I don't think I've had an AB with Devers FOTF. However, I love using his LS in BR so I'm stoked about his lightning card.

Wait, does Devers have 1B as a seconddary? I can't take Chipper out, I have him P5 and he is my best hitter online. 1B is awful for me. I could try Devers there, though I hate having 3 LH bats in the lineup.

It’s kinda obvious but SDS isn’t going by who is the best each month. They have to balance between current cards available, planned cards in the future and I’m sure other variables. Another 1B would have been a waste because Rizzo was last month. I’m not disagreeing that Goldy deserves a lightning card I’m just saying other variables exist.

I realize that but the most compelling variable I have seen mentioned is that they gave last month's card to Rizzo.
But there is a disconnect in my head where a deserving player gets passed over this month because an undeserving player of the same position was selected last month.

I know, if only there was somebody, lol. I'm actually using his 91 at 1B, I've only used him offline but he has been okay. I was worried about the low vision but Goldy may work out.

Wouldn't be surprised to See Goldy get a +5 in this Friday's roster update

I know, if only there was somebody, lol. I'm actually using his 91 at 1B, I've only used him offline but he has been okay. I was worried about the low vision but Goldy may work out.
I don't know about that 91 card. His live series card has better Contact vs lefties, Power vs Lefties, Vision and Clutch.
But hey the 91 card has 43 points higher in Disc.
