I'm giving him a free pass every AB in every situation that isn't bases juiced. I've already somewhat done that for the fotf card

But in all seriousness, I'm a huge Red Sox fan and even I have to admit either Goldschmidt or Betts DESERVED it over Devers.
But Betts already got a 95 and Goldschmidt was another 1B almost no one would have cared about.
This Devers card will be a BEAST.

Congrats to Devers and those who wanted him to win, although I am confused. I knew Goldschmidt was out since he was just given a 91 overall card. But Devers has a 90 overall card so I don't see a a lot of difference there. Why one would get lightning and the other would get passed over is a little baffling.
Devers had a great month of May though so at least it is not another Rizzo situation.

This for sure. Brett will still be the better card but he is also 2 million stubs, Devers is free! Goldy should have gotten it but I'll take a Devers card anyway. His FOTF card is still one of my best hitters.

The Rizzo situation is why it isn't goldy, not the 91 card that was pre planned in January imo

Yeah, I already have Brett and he's the best position player card in the game.
But if I didn't have him yet, I agree. I would happily take Devers for free and then focus my stubs elsewhere.
Me personally I'll be playing Devers at 1B and Brett at 3B.

I think it simply came down to the mass temper tantrum most of the people threw when Rizzo was announced because they were dropping yet another 1B. If they did it again with Goldy, lord knows what would have happened (although realistically he deserved it).

Brett is my favorite player of all time. However, I'm not even close to unlocking this. So this is a nice consolation.
I was actually going to give Frank another try at 1st and put Delgado in LF and Ruth in RF (because I don't care if I lose a RS game). I do get frustrated if I am not getting rewarded but if Delgado doesn't make a play because I put him in LF, I am good with that. With Devers though, he goes to 3rd and Pujols to LF and Delgado at 1st so Frank is out.

Could be. We'll see how the rest of the cards in the program look but this is the second month in a row that they have ignored the actual batters and pitchers of the month in MLB to give it to someone else.
