MLB's Players and Pitchers of the Month for May
-
I think all 4 pitchers will get a card. Not sure about who will get lighting card though.
-
Raffy Devers had same WAR as goldy in June. He will most likely be the lighting card. If not him then Harper. Ain’t gonna be a pitcher unless it was someone like Verlander…..

Side note - yet another Cardinals homer post.
Am I a Cardinals fan? Yes.
I don't think anything I posted was Cardinals Homer specific, unless you want to count the fact that I mentioned that it was their third straight. That I did not initially realize and took it directly from the MLB.com article. I had forgotten about O'Neill
Goldschmidt gives the Cardinals their second straight Player of the Month Award winner to start the 2022 season, and third straight going back to last year. Nolan Arenado won the award in April, and Tyler O'Neill won in September 2021.
I also said, I believe Goldschmidt (and Judge) would not get cards and made no editorial comment about that fact.

But will they give it to him since he already has a 90 FOTF card? Goldy's best card not counting his supercharged live series is only a 91. Not much of a difference.
You have to go down to Dansby Swanson, tied for 9th place in WAR to find the first player who does not already have a diamond of some kind.

Topics you've started in the last 7 days alone:
1."Adam Wainwright Turns Back Time"
2. "Goldschmidt is a 99 Overall for the next two days"
3. Goldy Supercharged Card extended and boosted
4. "Time to play Supercharged Goldschmidt at 1B"
5. "Will We See a Nolan Gorman Topps Now Card?"
6. 2 other topics revolving around May POTM (obviously related to Goldschmidt)Everyone here has a favorite team too, but the Cardinal worship is nauseating.
Maybe join a Cardinal fan forum instead?

I thought those were all 88? I think 95 would be plenty different than his 88.

Forgive me for having a favorite team. I was not aware that rooting for a specific team was frowned upon.
I never said that I was never a homer, just that I was not being one when I started this topic.
But again, nobody told me that I needed to be team agnostic for fear of nauseating others.

Martin Perez deserves it more than anybody else.

I'm fairly confident that Martin Perez will get the lightning card.
Even though I’d rather have a position player Perez pitch mix would be perfect. Fastball, sinker, cutter, slider and one of the filthiest changeups in baseball. Might be a beast of a card.

Like Paxton years ago, he would probably carry a rotation until TA4 releases, if not the rest of the year.
