Was doing the Lou G. Program . Did the exchange with Royals players . I did Bobby Witt jr. . When I was done , l went into my card inventory, and my Bobby Witt jr. card was gone ! Just disappeared ! Has this type of thing happened to anyone else ? In mlb 21 I had 3 cards just disappear from my inventory. 1 was Harmon Killebrew l bought for 1 million Stubbs . I really like the game , but I can’t take my cards mysteriously disappearing again !!

Exchanges work differently than "locking in".

When you lock in card for a collection, it flags the card as no sell.

When you do an exchange, even a no sell card can be exchanged, which removes it from your inventory.

When collecting, you won't see a value listed for the card like 1920, or 10000. If you see a numeric value, the card will be removed after you advance.

My advice on how to avoid this, is to never "exchange" a card unless you have a duplicate of it. In addition, I almost never exchange a non live series card.

Hope this helps explain what probably happened.

It does . Thank you . Wow is that stupid or what ? We work hard to get these cards and in order to get other cards in a collection they make you exchange a card in order to get other items or cards just to lose a card or cards . Well , live and learn , I guess . Thank you again . I won’t exchange my cards anymore .

Unlike years past, exchanging cards turns out to be way more expensive. Example being for main programs. Getting 30k XP takes like 450k worth of exchangea. That's over 4 cards 90+. Juice isn't worth the squeeze.

exchanging is an option, not a requirement

Exchanges used to be MUCH more prevalent in previous years. But after the Immortal Wars of 2018, their necessity has been greatly diminished.

You can finish the Gehrig program without doing the card exchange. It just takes a little longer by having to produce stats. But if you do a card exchange, that card is gone from your inventory forever. You will have to earn or buy it again.

I made this mistake my first year of DD (last year) when I exchanged Mike Trout thinking I was collecting him. This is a hard-learned lesson and now I really pay attention to exchanges vs collections.
