If you are viewing him as a 1B primary that's on you
His defense/speed in the outfield will make him unplayable in a competitive environment (just like how you don’t see Kiner out there despite his hitting attributes). For anyone playing competitively he is a first baseman.

Cmon man. Don't be that guy, you know [censored] well Ruth and Delgado are firstbaseman for 95% of the community. If you put them in the outfield you are either a terrible H2H player, or a vs cpu hero.

Changes to quick sell prices only benefit SDS.
Needing every card for a collection like this is, in my opinion, whack. You'd have to buy the cards or turn the game into a full-time job.

Yeah I'm pretty disappointed in 22 as well. I wont spend a red penny on this game beyond the original purchase.

That's on the player base then, the fact everyone has this idea every player needs to have perfect defense and speed to play the field is so misguided cause if you set you defense up the right way you can have Ruth out the next to Trout who can support him. Also for anyone complaing about line outs but also complains that a card doesn't have the speed and defense to play out there needs to understand that is why nothing falls for hits cause you have an outfield that has the fastest and best defenders in the game of course nothings going to get down.
This card is the first of 3 collection rewards for this set in my opinion and it makes perfect sense for it to be Babe and at 97 is right clealry SDS is protecting the 99 after everyone complained last year there were to many to soon. Be prepared that we won't see mass 99s until late July early August

If this card has silver fielding then his hitting will have to be somewhat nerfed from the 99 to get there and with the popularity of Laughing Mountain this year silver Defense + <60 speed isn’t playable.

Yeah, if I didn't go on a crazy NMS pull streak early in the cycle, I'd have pretty much nothing close to done. Acuna 4 times, DeGrom 3 times, Trout, Tatis, Vlad, Soto when he was $...on and on.
DD has become sort of the equivalent of a Ubisoft map. Bloated, always something else to chase, no sense of great satisfaction at the end of it. Even worse since IT WILL ALL START OVER AGAIN NEXT YEAR...ugh.

So.
First, line drives right at fielders. That's the complaint. Happens way too often. Might just be the way the game is coded that outs happen like that, but it's frustrating.
Second, love the idea that they're slowing down the 99 train. Big win there.
Third, let's see what his fielding and speed are. Might be usable. Cbrev claims that outfield D is less important this year. Maybe.

Can't wait for the freak out on Friday when to get the big collection done you will need 90% of the cards in the game and the market shoots up and people saying it's a money grab even though you could wait likely just a couple weeks and get ot dome

I kind of like the fact that I won't be able to get Fridays collection done immediately too(I won't be that far off but still). In 19 the chase for Honus was awesome. Trout in 20 day 1 was extremely easy as was Mo last year, and I had Mookie, Kershaw, and Griffey day 1 too.

No, it’s on SDS, as they are the ones who code the game to play the way it does.
I mean your issue is the that it's a card you feel can only be used at first base simply because it has that as an option so you view it as a first basemen reward. When in reality it's an outfielder primary card that like anything card in this game will be replaced in a matter of weeks.
By the end of the game cycle we will have 14 LH first basemen and 16 RH first basemen
This game is not all about the mete and the God squad its about collecting and building a team of your favorite players past and present and future come Friday. If you only view this game from one perspective as a competitive mode you are always going to be disappointed

Bringing it back to Babe, he still has made one of my all time favorite plays in the OF scaling the wall at Shippet in 2020 to rob a 3R HR and secure the win. More than happy to find him a spot on my team as his walkup and point animation when he comes up in a walk off situation is still one of the coolest things to see.

This collection seems pointless today as it requires an expensive and very similar Delgado card plus a VERY expensive Maddux card.
In a couple weeks it should be easier and cheaper. I'll be happy to have Babe then.

He's not a first basemen he's a primary outfielder who will maybe have 1B as secondary
If you are viewing him as a 1B primary that's on you
Cmon man. Don't be that guy, you know [censored] well Ruth and Delgado are firstbaseman for 95% of the community. If you put them in the outfield you are either a terrible H2H player, or a vs cpu hero.
Ruth's a demon in left field, some of the animations his cards get over the years are unreal.
