Just lucked into a PlayStation 5

Had no intention of buying a PS 5 until NCAA Football returns to the market, as MLB The Show is the only video game I play since NCAA stopped. But in anticipation of it’s return next summer, I figured I’d look into one now, and sure enough lucked into one.
I’m sure it’s been asked and answered, and if so, you can direct me to the appropriate thread, but will I be able to carry over my DD from my PS4 to my PS5 when it arrives, or will I be forced to purchase and start from scratch?

Pretty sure PS4 to PS5 doesn't require linking. Its still a PSN account. All you should need to do is install the PS5 version and log into the game.

Diamond Dynasty progress is stored in the cloud. You can bounce back and forth between PS4 and PS5 seamlessly if you log into the same PSN. No account linking required.

I paid retail, although I was forced to acquire the “Horizon Forbidden West” bundle for $449.99 off the PlayStation website. No idea what that is, and I’ll never play it, but all things considered, I was okay with it. I’ll stick to my two games, MLBTS and NCAA Football haha!

I got mine last July and still haven't played the 2 bundle games, Ratchet & Clank and Spiderman - Miles Mikolas, er Morales 🤪
