DO NOT PLAY EVENTS

No need to get into details. Just do not play events. Play it if you want to get every hit taken away from dives, goods turned to lates/earlies, and out hitting and pitching your opponent but still losing. If that’s what you want then play it. Good Luck!!
Yea, last night was rough period. Did Custom BP on HOF and was crushing including HR's on 1st 3 pitches. Couple of which on 99 mph fastballs. Get in event and can't read pitches and getting beat on 91. Felt like I was swinging a pool noodle. This was 3 different connections I tried - wired, wireless and vpn. Everything was the same. Had a 6-0 run and jumped into a BR game hoping it would play different. It did not. Luckily, I won the game and got out of that mode immediately.

Played my first event ever last night and really enjoyed it. No toxic players like some people warn...maybe it's fun if you just go in and have fun.
And I echo what @genopolanco_PSN said, why be on a forum for a game you don't like?
I had 2 friendly quit requests when they saw LS Randy and I honored them. All good. Some friendly messages about it too.

For me I've been a part of this forum for a long time, its routine at this point.

Yeah in something like events if they as for a friendly right away when seeing Randy I'll give it to them. However, if they ask for a friendly after their at bat in the first inning that's a no go.

Really - this is the game deal with it or go play something else - you're not telling us anything new - the game has flaws overall its a great game.

I find events that are 6 innings attract a different player base, everyone I played last night were great players and played the right way. Was super enjoyable night

I don't think its the 6 innings as much as any cheese balls can't really do their thing with quick counts on

I don't enjoy playing a game mode that requires you to pay in.
I believe you’re talking about Battle Royal, but let’s just be clear, virtual currency buy ins is not like paying to play. Even if you don’t win a single game in BR you still earn a pack which ironically costs the same as the BR buy in. So what are you really paying for.
I don't like playing STUBS to play a game mode.
What don't you understand? 🤬🤬 -
I've never understood the cheeseball complaint? if they are spamming curves and changeups in the dirt just layoff and take your walks?

I’ve never been a quick count fan, but decided to give this one a try. So far I am really enjoying it. Probably the most fun I have had all year. Lots of stuff thrown in the zone and you have to work to keep your opponent off balance.

What don't you understand? 🤬🤬Events do not cost anything to play…free entries. Battle Royale is a different mode than what is being discussed here and it costs 1500 stubs with a guaranteed pack. But the mode discussed here is 100% free.

22-5 so far this round. Seeing the ball really well. Quick counts definitely favor the hitter. Also Randy Johnson is undefeated in the events. I think I’m like 8-0 with him

What don't you understand? 🤬🤬If I had to guess, he was probably confused by the fact that you have no idea what you're talking about. If you don't want to pay for a buy in, that's fine. Doesn't apply to events, which is the topic of the thread.

i wish it was 4 innings with quick counts. just my opinion, but i am enjoying it

If you take the lead, it probably will be less than 4 innings. Lots of early quits in this one. Especially if you have a good pitcher on the mound.
-
Events are my go-to & I’ve enjoyed the quick counts both last year when starting as well as now…
Question to others, how has the Roy been doing for you, whether in Events or other mode? Just unlocked him and will add him once I lose out in this fun. Thanks!

Events and BR matchmaking system is worse than RS, the longer you let it run the worst the connection you’ll get. When I play that if I don’t find a game quick I’ll stop it and try again… I’m tired of bad connections

I am not really big on events anymore since the rewind packs make the cards worthless (though I agree they are needed) but this quick counts 6 innings is an event I actually enjoy.
