I thought he was an okay guy, until the last couple nights! I am not liking what he doing against my M's pitching staff!

This needs to stop ASAP! ✋ 😡 😒

[censored], this guy may become the May lightning POTM card just off the performance in this 4-game series. And we haven't even finished the second of those four games!

It’s funny. I bet he wishes he signed to an AL East team to play you guys 19 times a year.

He can be the best during any other series, just not this one! He should ride the pine for the next couple days. I cannot have this additional stress in my life right now!!! 😀 😂

I could be wrong, but didn't Trevor Story sign with an AL East team?

It would be quite the contract if he signed a contract with a different team and the team loans him to other teams just to go after the M's!!! I would not be surprised if the Astros would pull a crazy stunt like that!

He could come to the AL West and join the M's and act like this for 162 games!

Of course, I'm messing around here and know that you meant the AL West!

Shoot! We could always use a 6 hole hitter that adds a good glove to 2nd in Anaheim. It's too wet in Seattle, I know, I live here.

There's a retractable roof at T-Mobile Park...rain is not an issue!

Plus the summer in Seattle is usually sunny all day. T-Mobile Park has the roof closed the least amount of games out of all the teams with a retractable roof (and all those in non-retractable domes as well!).

I watched the game today and it really annoys me how loud Robbie Ray grunts when he pitches. It's every single pitch. I've watched him pitch many times but never noticed it it's almost like the microphones were on his jersey today. It almost made me feel weird for some reason. Plus his pants are so tight I wonder if there's something going on down there that shouldn't be talked about.

Try reading that whole reply of mine! Like that last line! It's even in your quoted section of your reply which is right above your actual reply! I also spelled "meant" correctly where you couldn't do that!

He'd probably go to a second home during the off season, so he wouldn't have to worry about the rain (wet roads) too much! The house here would probably be on the east side so he wouldn't have to worry about the I5. He, like most of us here, would probably avoid downtown except for games in SoDo.

Yeah but in Anaheim, he'd be able to buy one of those condos across from the stadium. Close to Disney for the kids and wife. Live band venue with killer bands within walking distance, and that's not even including The House of Blues in Downtown Disney. Great hole in the wall Mexican place in the same center as as the condos AND Togo's sandwiches. I could go for a nice SoCal Pastrami. Just avoid the people and crime and Southern California is pretty nice.

But here is the killer part that would keep him out of any California teams...Taxes...

Players are payed per game and the taxes taken out are determined by the location of that game's location. Playing for the Angels (this year), that would be 81 home games in Anaheim, plus 9 more in Oakland, plus 3 in Los Angeles, and all that makes for 93 games played in the state of California where taxes are the highest in the nation.

The Mariners (this year) play 81 games in Seattle where Washington has no income tax, plus 10 in Houston, plus 10 in Arlington, plus 3 in St. Pete, plus 3 in Miami, where Texas and Florida also do not have income taxes. That is 107 games where they do not pay taxes!

That is a huge amount of saved money, especially as much as he gets paid per game!!!

I think fans and writers make a bigger deal out of the whole tax thing then players. Once you're getting paid a certain amount it's all chump change to you I would assume. I could be completely wrong tho, being a lowly peasant I don't know how people making that much money think regarding those things.
