PS4 sound not working after MLBTS 22 update 1.06

Since installing the update from today, i don't get audio output from my ps4 system any more on both headset and tv. I played yesterday and it worked fine, and nothing else changed or updated. I've checked for system updates, audio output settings and even tried a different cable, but nothing seems to help.
Is this a coincidence or have other players ran into this issue?

I am on ps4 pro. Just had system update and todays patch no issues sorry hope you figure it out!

I just did the update on my PS4 Pro, about half hour ago and it seems to be working ok.
Edit: I just got the Franchise error. So my game is broken too.

Is yours noisy? I've heard they can get like that, if the thermal paste gets old or it's dirty inside.
I can't tell mine is even on.

I can't tell mine is even on.
Noisy since day one. When I open and clean it it gets better for a week or 2 and then back full throttle. Tried every environment, including underwater but ventilation is still bad

I saw that in the other post, thanks. But I shouldn't have to. They "patched" the game right? Not that they did anything useful...
RttS seems to work ok, so I'll mess with that until they can pull their head out.

RttS seems to work ok, so I'll mess with that until they can pull their head out.
agreed, it should not need to be necessary to disconnect internet.
TBH I'm more content with just going back to '21 for now until this is resolved.

Guess what... in 3 hours of trying to fix it yesterday i got no result whatsoever. Just booted up and it magically works well again. I'll take it

I heard they were putting out a hotfix this morning.

Yep Hold your power button til it beeps twice .Then data base rebuild. Perfectly safe and actuality recommended every now and then . Reloading last system update is a good option also in case of corrupted file

As far as the noisy system goes it is a PS4 luck of the draw oddity. As long as your not overheating. There are many videos on YouTube regarding this and steps to deal with it. Turn up your volume and the air conditioner .
