OP is not wrong. Connection can make the pitches impossible to react to. Faced Duran in a really laggy game and every swing was late. Never had an issue hitting his fastball before and after that game. Baserunning input was also really laggy. Some games are just like that. I don’t get why they say you suck when it can happen.

what? The Southeast has the same speed internet as anyone else unless they live in the sticks...I play west coast people all the time and they lag hardcore half the time. Is that because they are poor? No, its ping that screws it not the speed. You could have the same speed as the guy 10 states away, and it lags. You don't need any wild speed to be able to play the show online anyway.
I haven't played any DR or PR people yet, but I do know when I played COD, you know you were in trouble because of the lag compensation.

Not even close to being correct. Matched up against a guy last week I figured was on the east coast due to name and bad lag. I am in KC and he confirmed through a message he was on the east coast. East coast players have no earthly idea how easy they have it in this game.
Well. I live in Tempe AZ and most of my games are against people with teams in Albuquerque, Scottsdale, Mesa, Phoenix, Las Vegas, or LA and SD. So there is something to it being correct.
Depends on internet. I have google fiber in KC and my opponent names are from everywhere, mainly east coast. However, if I do VPN it stays closer to the city but I am usually visitor.
My guess is your internet isn't good enough to connect with people in Dallas, Seattle, Chicago, etc.

I’ve always been a believer of the quality of connection impacting timing windows and how fast pitches look coming in
Just funny I saw this thread and matched up with a guy in the events that (presumably) is from Fajardo PR given his team name and team abbreviation
Not a fun experience even though I managed to walk him off

I think I figured it out after a few years.
Say I play pitching_rebel (who is in Florida). The only servers between him and I are in Florida and Texas. I believe the game sees which server would provide better pings. Even though the game is peer to peer it needs to connect to a server. Say you have these pings below:
pitching to Florida server 20 ms
me to Florida server 80 mspitching to TX server 150 ms
me to TX server 50 msNow the game determines the "best" game would be the top one even though pitching's information will get to the server way before mine. Do you think I will really see the same things he does? Not a chance. This game is needs to be accurate to the ms. I will never say pitching isn't a good player because he is. He could easily make WS at my house. However, not a chance in hell he is going 100-5 unless he is connecting to the Florida server [censored] near every game. Vice-versa, I'm not going 100-5 at his house either. I'm over 50 years old. I'm not 25 anymore. I can promise there aren't many, if any, 50+ year olds that make WS on a consistent basis. Look at most of the top players and ask where they are from. Almost all are located very close to an alleged server location. OhChev (Jersey), Weens (Isn't he from Philly), Pitching (florida), list goes on and on. That is not a coicidence. Does OhChev make WS at my house? Yes. Top 50 Player? Highly unlikely.
People make fun of my "superior internet" but with google fiber, I can probably ping anywhere in the U.S. in less than 100. For some reason, SDS thinks this is OK to match me against people on both coasts. It is not. This may or may not be accurate but I have been diving into this issue for years to try to determine the cause of the warping pitches. Haven't noticed them this year as much but have also been dealing with a lot of eyesight issues.

Not me but magically, when people have this it is usually a laggy game. However, I forgot there is no lag in this game. Matching against people halfway across the U.S. is as smooth as a baby's bottom.

Why didn’t I make a post after my numerous other losses? This loss the pitch warping was absolutely egregious. You are a loser straight up.
So it was okay when you were beating them but now it’s a problem
He’s up there as one of the biggest weirdos on here don’t waste your time explaining to him how to read. Just another idiot that doesn’t even play DD but lives in the DD section of the forum like JoshJays or Tylerlikeswhoa. This guy ran a STRIKES ONLY online franchise league still couldn’t hack it and went to online rated. Nothing more needs to be said.
