Something is missing

Not sure what it is but this year's game seems really lackluster and doesn't seem to have anything that MAKES me want to play.
I'm not somebody that complains in large part about gameplay and issues that others do, which of course is your right in every part, but my problem is the content so far is very bland and boring.
I started play DD three years ago and found it very exciting. I couldn't wait to play the market, work my [censored] off to complete the LS and all the other rewards, but this year I've had zero interest in doing any if it.
Like I said I can't put my finger on it but this year feels like a waste of time. -
I was ok with trying the featured program idea when SDS was doing legitimate content drops on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Now that Tuesdays are just days for updates to existing game modes I am wondering if this is my last year purchasing. -

I like this year's set up I think the inning programs had run their course and were stale.
I know people loved TA but I wi maintain that TA in 21 hurt the game more then it did good. To much was given away to easily.
This year is way more focused and the goals are very laid out, yes at first packs were not give away as much but that is not yhe case anymore. Overall I really enjoy the game

Also enjoying DD this year. As an offline player it’s nice that I don’t have to spend my entire time in the mode and feel like I’m losing progress. Been playing other modes and still completing all the programs.

It was the same monotonous grind for same cards and same lineups that did me in after only two years.

Honestly, I liked the free packs/cards out of TAs (minus the locked 2 bronze/2silvers...that pack was f'in dumb) but I wasn't a huge fan of TA grind. It felt overwhelming that you either had to burn stubs to do exchanges, or grind out a ton of innings with players/teams I had no interest in using just to complete it. Best thing they did with TA's last year was not forcing completion of TA1 to do TA2.
This year, I'm at least pretty current on the other programs (still need to finish Dawson pxp for Rizzo and get the rest of the POTM cards) and I can spend more time playing events/BR/ranked. I just wish the gameplay was a bit better (PCI/good timing results, OP dives and foul [censored] being my biggest issues atm).

I wish the mystery map had random teams to play. I don't feel like doing mini-seasons until I see that there is a fix to it breaking when we reach championship. I found myself playing GT7 and FIFA (and I don't even like soccer) yesterday rather than just aimlessly playing offline.

Oh it was, I think this is kind of a theme I'm seeing is that alot of people really dove into MLB 21 DD but didn't play 20 so they think we lost alot but in reality from 20 to 21 DD wise we lost way more. In 20 there were 4 stages of TA and each team had there own program so that was 120 programs to grind. In 21 we got 5 stages of 6 programs so 30 programs. That's a loss of 90 programs were was the out rage for that???

I don't think the are removing it they are spreading it out really its delivered in different ways, also they are protecting the reward given in the featured programs/BR/WS which was last years problem that TA overshadow everything.

Like I said I can't put my finger on it but this year feels like a waste of time.No big names. The only excitement was the Delgado drop but I can only use him in BR since I plan to finish LS collections before anything else. Hopefully this new collection will bring some excitement. I agree with you 100 percent. I was in the same boat as you until I got lucky and pulled Trout.

controlling the content better is great IMO, all the free packs were great for us, but I bet they lost stub purchases due to the overwhelming amount of free packs given out so they closed those gates a bit. I miss TA, and wish they would release lower tier cards of big names instead of all this mid level guys from the 2000's. I don't mind the slow drip on higher level cards, but just wish I saw a 93 Babe Ruth or 94 Pedro or the like
