Tony Perez rakes!!!. I realize he's an 88 that will never make any online player's lineup unless you're a die hard Reds fan, but he has a really nice swing and super sneaky power.
I'm going to try and get "Tony Perez Rakes" going. It's not as cool as "Larkin rips" so if you have a better phrase, and like this dude's swing. Let's hear it.

He was okay in 17 Eric. We know what we're getting with that card. It isn't "end game" like the 4th horseman.

I only use players from the mid 2000s - current. It's not as fun for me playing with players I didn't at least watch growing up. That's just me personally.

Minor exception. I am 34 so I use some older players like Griffey. So I obviously grew up watching him and liked him (who didn't) - I didn't get REALLY into watching baseball until I was about 12 or so. I live in and grew up in Wisconsin and the Brewers were awful and only about 1/4 of the games were even on TV then. So yes, I do use Griffey but in general I don't have fun using older cards. It's a great time to be a Wisconsin sports fan. Packers, Bucks and Brewers.

People, myself included, get enamored with ratings and attributes when it comes to players in this game. The best method, and I’ve been trying to stick to it, is to use cards you hit well with regardless of their ovr. Too many times I’ve fallen victim to playing with inferior cards because they’re a higher overall rating. I’m really trying not to do that this year. Certain cards play better for certain people. I’ll definitely give him a shot.
